Arcade Fire The Suburbs
February 15th, 2011 by kpriss
We’ve seen the dresses, the magic of the Red Carpet. And, honestly, it would have been all there was here to this Grammy edition. But then there’s the Arcade Fire controversy.
Some (too many, in my opinion) have asked who is Arcade Fire and why have they won a Grammy. I opt to keep you in a shade about all that because I’m not a spoiler fan. However, if you’ll press play and the song you’ll listen to speaks to you, really speaks to you, then you should look for more Arcade Fire. The Suburbs is just the peak that broke the mainstream steady flow and offered a breath of fresh inspiration, indie blessed talent. So – into Arcade Fire already? (if yes, click through for one of my favorite Arcade Fire songs)
Valentine’s Day. After Hours.
February 15th, 2011 by kpriss
How was your Valentine’s Day? You may have noticed I chose not to fill the space with hearts and tarts yesterday. Instead I wanted to let you know about a little something that’s buzzing up my mind about Valentine’s Day.
First of all – I loooove Valentine’s Day. I actually love to love Valentine’s Day more than I really do love it. Because you see, for me, Valentine’s Day is just another day you celebrate your love and loved ones. Your significant other shouldn’t be significant just one day per year. It should go on and on and round and round like a happy merry – go – round.
If you forget to ditch the contemporary gray and sink into your inner, happy pink, then something must be changed. I’ll do my best to keep you inspired and connected with your inner beauty so you’ll spread the love and happiness around you. Be true to your heart and listen to it all day, every day. It can be Valentine’s Day every day! Changing the world one heart at the time can happen, it’s not just a post Valentine’s Day buzz. Is it? (photo)
Jennifer Lopez In Silver Sequined Emilio Pucci Dress At 2011 Grammy Awards
February 14th, 2011 by kpriss
It’s the sartorial double choice night at the 2011 Grammy Awards Ceremony! I mentioned Ciara wearing an Emilio Pucci dress earlier and I couldn’t overlook the dress choice Jennifer Lopez made for the occasion: the lady put on a bright silver sequined Emilio Pucci mini dress!
And she was looking nothing short of fabulous, proudly showing her over toned body and happy glow! Don’t you just love happy people? They brighten up my day! And Jennifer Lopez alongside her husband, Marc Anthony, outshines even her uber sparkling frock! (have you noticed those spiked Louboutins she’s wearing? the lady was perrrrfect last night!) Ciara’s Emilio Pucci Maxi Dress For 2011 Grammy Awards
February 14th, 2011 by kpriss
Another Red Carpet Appearance we haven’t talked about in a while – Ciara. She’s such a gorgeous young woman! I just wish she could put on more lovely dresses like this one so we could talk about her sartorial exploits with a smile on our faces!
Ciara was wearing a lovely maxi dress from the Spring Summer 2011 Emilio Pucci collection. The dramatic cuts of the bodice left little for the imagination as Ciara‘s great body was proudly exposed through the cutouts. I’m happy she didn’t opt for something even edgier and she kept it chic and feminine. Go get them girl! (photos via 1, 2)
Miley Cyrus In Roberto Cavalli Sequined Dress For 2011 Grammy Awards
February 14th, 2011 by kpriss
It’s been a while since we haven’t had the pleasure of commenting one of Miley Cyrus‘ Red Carpet appearances! However, the Miley dress hour has arrived! The lovely young lady walked the 2011 Grammy Awards Red Carpet wearing something unusual for her – Roberto Cavalli.
From the Spring Summer 2011 collection the sequined dress was an interesting choice for Miley. Not so much in terms of color and material (sequins) but more in terms of designer and targeted customers. I was always under the impression that Roberto Cavalli designs for a more… say… mature crowd with a flamboyant sense of style. Is that who Miley is? Rihanna’s White Jean Paul Gaultier Dress For 2011 Grammy Awards
February 14th, 2011 by kpriss
And here’s a second Jean Paul Gaultier dress from the Spring 2011 Haute Couture Collection attending the 2011 Grammy Awards Ceremony! This time it’s Rihanna who chose the bride dress from the Jean Paul Gaultier couture collection (which was originally presented on the catwalk by Andrej Pejic).
Looking stunning and festive, Rihanna matched her dress with a lovely red bob which emphasized her face shape and sweetened her usually edgy appearance. Her too visible lingerie aside, Rihanna was very elegant and feminine, almost grown up, huh? (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via 1, 2)
Nicole Kidman’s Jean Paul Gaultier Floral Dress For 2011 Grammy Awards
February 14th, 2011 by kpriss
Nicole Kidman, I’ve got my eyes on you! Yes, regardless of her dress choice, Nicole Kidman will always get my attention when she’s out on the Red Carpet with her husband, Keith Urban. Because they make such a lovely pair! And you know I love people who smile bright and happy!
So Nicole Kidman was wearing a floral Jean Paul Gaultier dress from the Spring 2011 Haute Couture collection (which I found rather sad and too theatrical in trying so desperate to be punk and rebel). She looked gorgeous and the dress suited her wonderfully, giving her a playful, friendlier look than her usual bland dress choices. Aren’t they lovely? Julianne Moore’s Tom Ford’s Blue Velvet Dress For 2011 Bafta Awards
February 13th, 2011 by kpriss
There’s something between Julianne Moore and Tom Ford. A muse – designer relationship that is also in the benefit of the viewers. We get to be so enchanted by Julianne‘s Red Carpet appearances for she is truly a gorgeous woman and she’s wearing Tom Ford naturally, with grace and elegance.
I’m loving the blue velvet dress with bow detail in the back she had on for the 2011 Bafta Awards Ceremony. It’s royal and it compliments Julianne’s lovely complexion. And, to be honest, Tom Ford is a chic match for a Red Carpet appearance, wouldn’t you say? (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via)
