Blake Lively’s Soft Blue One Shoulder Marchesa Dress At BAFTA Brits To Watch

Another notable trend of the evening was soft shades of blue. Blake Lively illustrates this one carefully bending on the same side as her covered shoulder. (I love it when she does that! It’s like she would be pulled down by her hair? She does it all the time!)

The Marchesa Spring Summer 2011 soft blue dress worn by Blake… doesn’t it look familiar? No? a lil’ teeny tiny bit? For some reason it reminds me of her Chanel dress from this year’s Met Gala. Another favorite of mine for the evening was Nicole Kidman. Her soft blue Elie Saab dress was a custom made one, basically one of the models from the Fall 2010 Couture collection reworked especially for Nicole.

She’s wearing it gracefully, pairing it with a beautiful smile and a great attitude, I wish I could’ve seen her with her husband, they’re such a refreshing sight. Their loving attitude, happy spirits always make my Red Carpet day, regardless of the event. How do you like Nicole’s dress from the BAFTA Brits to Watch event? You cannot be a self proclaimed fan of romcoms and silly funny movies without being a fan of Zooey Deschanel. She is the queen of adorable quirky, indie romcoms! Plus she’s lovely and sweet and has amazingly blue big eyes and such a bright, warm smile!

Although I’m a Red Carpet avid watcher, I had no idea there was this big event called BAFTA Brits to Watch dinner and that all the big names of American and British movie people will attend to it! (by the way, has anyone any details regarding this dinner?) Zooey Deschanel attended the above mentioned dinner wearing an amazing dress signed by Oscar de la Renta, part of the fall winter 2011 2012 collection. I’m continuously fascinated by the after effects of Makeup and Photoshop on a person. Not because I want to highlight the wrongs in doing such things (as in concealing or retouching the reality, hence deceiving the world), but because I always keep my makeup to a minimum (read zero makeup) and I’m really not good at anything makeup – related.

So here’s Olivia Wilde, the new Hollywood darling, gracing the Marie Claire August 2011 cover as opposed to her every day look, without professional makeup or digital enhancements. Do you favor her cover look, fully knowing that it’s a distorted reality, just to preserve her “doll”-ish fabricated images? I’ve got a surprise for you! Are you familiar with the Fast and the Furious franchise? No? You should get closer and study the movies… The first, at least, they’re curiously good. As good as a fast cars and hot babes can get. (I told you I kinda like shallow movies for the sake of entertainment – plus avant kids, both me and my Adored Husband, we used to have this burning passion for cars, driving, motorcycles and so forth. Oh, the young years! We still experience that passion, only we don’t get to manifest as loudly as we did back then.)

Now back to Paul Walker. He is the star of the Fast and the Furious movies (even Devon Aoki starred in the FatF!). And there he goes, all shirtless and wet, walking on the beach and taking a serious dive in the ocean for Davidoff’s Cool Water perfume. Although news about Victoria Beckham giving birth on the 4th of July (via C-section) were allover the place avant the very date, Victoria did not confirmed them. More so, she came out with a public dismissal of the said rumors saying that she did not gave birth on the 4th and when asked if she wouldn’t want to share photos of her baby bump, she said that those are for her husband’s eyes only.

Now I posted the below image because it just came out and you know I can’t miss a good pregnant talk when I see one! Also – one day it’s white, the next it’s black, that’s how consistent and coherent the celebrities can be and this is just a minor example. (this image has been allegedly posted by David Beckham on his Facebook page. Good for him he wants to share what his wife wanted to keep for his eyes only! He puts Testino to shame, really!
