As you probably know, one of the latest Marvel adaptations is Captain America. Natalie Dormer is one of the female stars of the movie. You may be familiar with Natalie from The Tudors. However, that’s not what I wanted to talk about when I started this.
Have you noticed how similar Natalie Dormer and Jessica Stam are? I find it fascinating! The wide, varied world is so small after all! They look like twin sisters, don’t they? (photos via 1, 2, 3)

…who like Dolce & Gabbana. Are you familiar with the latest Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign? The Fall Winter 2011 2012 season brings us pretty much the same thing in terms of advertising: a pack of smoking hot models enjoying each others company and the Dolce & Gabbana clothes.
We, on the other side, the ones watching and also the target of the actual campaign (as photographed by Steven Klein) could easily experience dizziness and minor disorientation caused by the beauty overload and the urban print landscape overexposure. I mean… have you seen these pictures? Can you actually concentrate on the clothing? On anything? (who are the girls? Constance Jablonski, Kate King, Jac Jagaciak, Maryna Linchuk, Isabeli Fontana, Liu Wen)
Karlie Kloss For Harper’s Bazaar Australia September 2011

One of the best catwalks ever! Karlie Kloss is way more than a pretty face and a perky fashion walk. That’s what they’re saying in the September issue of Australia’s Harper’s Bazaar.
And, honestly, Victor Demarchelier‘s photos fully prove that. Karlie is a one model show. She’s gorgeous, full of energy and her face always exudes joy and optimism. If I hadn’t read the article, I wouldn’t have known that Karlie has had extensive dance training. Or that she has a simple, black cotton dress which she considers her lucky dress (having worn that one to her ss 2008 castings, at 15, and being immediately booked for a Calvin Klein exclusive). And did you know that she wants to go to the medical school? Go get them, Karlie! (isn’t she lovely?) (via)

You know there’s more to Hailee Steinfeld’s Miu Miu Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign than the first image we’ve seen a while back! Much, much more!
And she looks like she’s having some fun. At least in some of the pictures. However, reconsidering my feelings and position regarding this campaign, I still don’t find it reassuring that such a young girl can so actively participate in promotional projects for ad campaigns. I have a certain amount of appreciation for Vanessa Paradis. Which could look completely baseless whenever I get to look at pictures like these.
Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, Vanessa Paradis pulls a witch number on the world for the Russian edition of Tatler magazine, the July 2011 issue. I wish I could read Russian, I could, maybe, understand why and how did this happen. And especially, what was der Kaiser thinking when he styled her like this! Beyonce’s Harper’s Bazaar September 2011

There goes another September cover. Slowly, steadily, we’re closing in on the big fashmagazines and their respective September covers / pictorials. And it’s getting better with every passing photo!
Beyonce is gracing the UK edition of Harper’s Bazaar September 2011 as photographed by Alex Lubomirski and styled by Franck Benhamou. She’s fierce and flawless, gorgeous, impeccable and implacably fashionable. I’m so loving this first image even though it’s a celebrity cover and it would be implicit to have a model on a September issue cover. Then again, Beyonce’s influence on fashion, style and anything / everything in-between is way more important than, say, Daria’s?

Daria Werbowy Mark Vanderloo Hugo Boss Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign

Hugo Boss has always been on the austere side of the aesthetic and this Hugo Boss Fall Winter 2011 2012 campaign makes no exception. Although starring Daria Werbowy and Mark van der Loo, the Mario Sorrenti photographed images exude solitary wealth, simulated happiness. Simulated life.
As far as I’m concerned, they could’ve dressed a couple of plastic mannequins for the job instead of using Daria and Mark, the end result would have matched this one in the smallest details. A great house, beautiful designed and sewn clothes, impeccably executed photographs of utterly gorgeous models don’t make a great campaign, wouldn’t you agree? (photos via)
Total Recall’s Jessica Biel In Shorts And Top. Showing Too Much?

Were you aware of the fact that Total Recall is being remade? I only got word about this few days ago and there go the first press conference on the matter. It happened at San Diego’s ComicCon and it brought the actors and the public together.
Kate Beckinsale, Collin Farell, Jessica Biel to name just a few. Supposing that being young and famous calls for some heavy wardrobe eccentricities, I can close my eyes at Jessica Biel’s outfit. Although I cannot, for the life of me, understand how she can be looked at as stylish wearing that shorts bare midriff blouse combo. It’s just… wrong! Or not? Cast your vote right after the jump!
