Bright colors, geometrical stripey motifs, muted florals and pretty interesting layering for both women and men. If you ask me, I think Vena Cava opted for a more manageable, approachable trend manifestation. Let’s wait and see, the Fashion Week is young and this is just the first day! Heeeellooo my lovelies! I will try a fresh approach of the just started Fashion Week season. You know that’s not me, and even though each and every time I try harder and harder to keep up to the Fashion Week madness, the reality catches up with me. I keep thinking that we’re getting ready for winter and the catwalk only shows summery frocks.

Anyway, as long as it’ll last this time, and especially because summer is almost over and I miss it already: Vena Cava Spring Summer 2012. The first Fashion Show gracing the pages of Stylefrizz for the upcoming summer season! What to expect when you’re expecting the next summer? Color blocks. Wow! I’m speechless! Kate Winslet covers V Magazine’s 73 issue, fall 2011 as photographed by Mario Testino. And she’s looking otherworldly beautiful! I don’t know if this is the only cover for this Heroes Issue (as styled by Carine Roitfeld, by the way!), I’m loving it and, if the case is such, I can only cross my fingers for the others to look just as beautiful!

I wish there was more available from this issue’s Kate Winslet pictorial as they did such a great job with her, Mario and Carine. Sadly, I think we will have to wait a couple of days more since the issue is actually out tomorrow, September 8th. Doesn’t it look amazing? I never imagined Kate Winslet styled this way!

Mom, look, it’s Victoria’s Secret Angels! On the cover of Elle October 2011! How awesome is that? We were just talking about Victoria’s Secret 2011 Fashion Show and in a matter of minutes I stumble across the latest issue of Elle with the VS Angels on the cover!

Miranda Kerr (who is, rumoredly, this year’s wearer of the Fantasy Bra), Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes and Adriana Lima each with her own Elle cover and an associate pictorial lensed by Alexei Hay and styled by Joe Zee. Undoubtedly Elle’s biggest selling issue this year! Wouldn’t you agree? (I loved Chanel and Doutzen – they don’t get that much magazine space and having an Elle cover, even if a multiple cover issue, is a big deal – for us and for them too). Not long ago, we talked about Julia Roberts having caused some advertorial troubles when her Lancome ads were banned. Too airbrushed, they said. And we couldn’t agree more as we’re confronted each and every day with a new flawless image pushing forward a new set of wonder cosmetics or miracle makeup products.

The truth is the only wonder in those ads is the handy retouching department who works extra hours to obtain that effortless flawless look!

Julia Roberts, however, is back for Lancome, with a new set of adverts, trying to get to our hearts and wallets.

And she’s doing it pretty well, I have to say – I always had a soft spot for Julia and her amazing smile! She’s got it, yeah baby she’s got it! Pretty Woman all the way, wouldn’t you say? Click through for the video!

If speculations were still on the menu since the VMAs when Beyonce announced that she was pregnant, here’s the picture to put an end to all that nasty talk!

Queen Bee is showing her rounder belly while vacationing on the Croatian coast with her husband and father of her child, Jay Z. She’s looking truly happy, absolutely, unreservedly radiant and glowing! And the baby bump looks adorable! Beyonce is going to be a mum, can you believe that? She practically grew up under our eyes! Wow!

The big fashion time of the year is almost here. Forget about the Fashion Weeks starting umm.. tomorrow? (with New York Fashion Week) Think Victoria’s Secret!

There’s hardly a bigger show, more spectacular , more filled with extra beautiful girls runway than the Victoria’s Secret annual show! And just to give us a taste of what we’ll see parading on the Victoria’s Secret 2011 Fashion Show catwalk, three sketches have been cleverly sneaked onto our screens. Do you remember Scarlett Johansson being involved in a particularly advertorial moment from Moet and Chandon? Of course you do, the silly photography and the careless involvement of the blonde (sometimes redhead) sensation get stuck on the retina.

Mostly because I keep looking at those images and feel deranged by the loneliness and the building – like – medical – retreat – facility. I keep wondering what could’ve pushed Scarlett to act silly and joyful, to drink Moet & Chandon all alone and laugh all by herself… I’m taking this too far for a sparkling wine ad, am I not?
