Fringe’s Anna Torv’s Black Vera Wang Dress For 2011 Emmy Awards

Talking about modern day Cinderella! Having seen Jennifer Carpenter looking incredible earlier, convinced me to talk about Anna Torv. Who was also looking breathtakingly beautiful in a black Vera Wang dress on the 2011 Emmy Awards Red Carpet!

Anna Torv, usually dress in pants suits and shapeless trench coats is now ultra feminine, although remaining faithful to her usual black wardrobe even on The Red Carpet. I don’t know how many Fringe fans are out there, but having watched a handful of episodes myself, I can tell that Anna Torv gives a really convincing performance in the show. Her black VW look for the 2011 Emmys stand proof that she’s a versatile lady besides being a critically acclaimed actress. (are you familiar with Fringe?)

If you’ve been watching at least few of the Spring Summer 2012 Collections, then you know that bright colors are really in. The 2011 Emmy Awards Red Carpet comes to strengthen that and here to highlight the electric blue moment are Katie Holmes and Dianna Agron.

Katie Holmes had a blue Calvin Klein dress while Dianna Agron opted for a silky Roksanda Ilincic dress which really complimented her looks. Although this particular shade of blue is pretty difficult to pull as it calls all the attention in the room, both ladies were looking flawless. (what’s up with the messy hair, Katie? The hairstylist was swamped in traffic somewhere?)

Can you believe this is Jennifer Carpenter below? In a Tony Ward sequined dress with a really dramatic leg slit? I can’t! I actually can’t believe she didn’t show up at the 2011 Emmy Awards wearing one of her checked shirts and low waist skinny jeans!

My, is she looking beautiful, or what? (if you’re not familiar with Jennifer Carpenter, you must be one of the 3 people on the planet who are not watching Dexter – joking, biensur! They’re actually 10 who are not watching Dexter!). Michael C. Hall, I don’t know where you are right now, but I’m pretty sure you were biting your tongue if you saw Jennifer in that Tony Ward Couture dress at the 2011 Emmys! (Jennifer is Michael C. Hall’s ex wife)

Gwyneth Paltrow, certainly one of the most expected fashion moments on the 2011 Emmy Awards Red Carpet (or any other event’s Red Carpet) did not disappoint.

Gwyneth, who appears to be growing out her hair again, chose a black lace see through Pucci dress that could’ve been perfect. If it wasn’t for that bare midriff section. I guess what Gwyneth was really trying to do is show of her super toned stomach. However, given the straight silhouette of the dress, she managed to do the exact opposite – each time I look at Gwyneth Paltrow’s 2011 Emmys dress, I get the feeling she’s lacking waist. However, I applaud her courage to stand out from the safe style crowd on the Red Carpet! (I had troubles locating the exact dress – so it’s either a custom made, or an upcoming design. What do you think?)

I’m so happy for Julie Bowen and her Emmy Award! She’s really a great actress and that statue is well deserved! She and Ty Burrell, her on – screen husband, both won an Emmy Award for their stunning performances in the as well stunningly good TV Series Modern Family. (please, if you’re not yet watching, try an episode, it will hook you up for good!)

Julie was wearing, as previously announced, an Oscar de la Renta sequined dress and she was looking nothing short of fabulous! Her dramatic cleavage was all she needed to break her otherwise boy-ish silhouette and add a serious sexy factor to the gray-ish look! Congrats Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell! You do make a wonderful Claire and Phil Dunphy couple!

Oh, you have to love these two! Not only they look so in love and so dedicated to each other, but they also coordinate for the Red Carpet!

Heidi and Seal were last seen attending the 63rd edition of the Emmy Awards 2011 wearing matching black and white outfits. Heidi Klum was dressed in a custom made Christian Siriano dress which was pretty contrasting from the usual mermaid or slick silhouette of the evening (you may not have seen the entire Red Carpet parade, but you have to take my word for it: the general silhouette was not what Heidi was wearing! Then again, she hardly ever blends in!) How do you like her dress? Is it too ruffled? Does it suit Heidi? (photos via 1,2)

Rumors fly around the internet saying that Vogue Paris’ October 2011 issue, the one with Sasha Pivovarova on the cover hides some pretty interesting things in its pages! Notably the very main pictorial, with Sasha, which is definitely interesting, to say the least, can also include images of Anja Rubik (or parts of Anja photoshopped in as Sasha).

As far as Sasha’s pictures, I find myself pretty amazed as even the great Carine Roitfeld declared she was sorry for all we had to endure with her cigarette filled editorials and that she was to never use smoking for fashion pictorials again. In the mean time, Emmanuelle Alt fully embraces the cigarettes and the braless pictures.

Moving on. From one dilemma to another: below you’ll notice a gorgeous image said to be Sasha. However, the fashion people feel alerted by the striking similarity with Anja Rubik’s amazing legs (and more, as you can see here too). W’s Demi Moore all over again? What do you think?
