Arizona Muse’s Vogue Paris November 2011

This is a beautiful cover! However, I cannot attribute its beauty to any particular styling or photographic maneuver. It’s all Arizona and her gorgeous smile (and you know how I love a smiling face)! Being one of the best models of the moment is completely understandable; Arizona Muse has that natural, healthy beauty we’d love to see more around. On the catwalk, in fashion magazines.

Photographed by Inez and Vinoodh, and, most certainly styled by Emmanuelle Alt, Arizona Muse’s 80s inspired look is lovely without referencing a particular season or weather. Calvin Klein was recently interviewed about topics revolving around fashion and his personal life. The designer, whose notoriously controversial ad campaigns (especially when it comes to intimates) has made him the incontestable King of branded underwear, had some pretty interesting things to say (for the record, Calvin Klein is no longer in charge of the fashion house, having sold it in 2002).

About fashion and linking fashion to various addictions he said it’s in the addicted’s head.

However, when it came to his boyfriend, it was clear as daylight that mr. Calvin Klein was in love! Here’s what the designer (whose daughter, Marci Klein, is 44yo and he, himself, is 68yo) had to say about Nick Gruber, his 21yo boyfriend: “I fell in love with a wonderful young man, and we recently went paragliding off Aspen Mountain.”. Ah, Love! -sigh – So wonderful it makes you jump off a cliff!

Talking about France: Carla Bruni Sarkozy gave birth to a baby girl yesterday, October 19, 2011. Congrats to the parents, blessings for the happy family! (the event took place at the De La Muette Clinique, in Paris)

Although Carla has warned everyone that they will not be releasing any baby photos, I can’t wait for the lil’ one to take the magazines covers any time now! I’m sure it’s a beauty, just like her mama! Also – it’s a pretty special event in the French presidential history as a newborn didn’t happen to a French president during his mandate since Napoleon! Now that baby girl will make history for sure! How could they ever keep her away from the newspapers?

Though I never really gave too much attention to him and didn’t consider he was a real item, Baptiste Giabiconi seems a downright VIP in France. Karl Lagerfeld’s boytoy… umm protégé is a contestant in Dancing With The Stars, the French version, on the show’s second season!

It would appear that last week, Baptiste was almost sent home. Ultimately saved by the public’s vote (I bet they were the lucky recipients of some Chanel freebies to stimulate their Baptiste liking!), Baptiste came back this week stronger. And lesser dressed. A shirtless, engaged, dedicated Baptiste emerged. And the public loved him (more Chanel freebies?). The jury loved him (definitely some Chanel freebies)! Rosamund Pike is the covergirl of Town & Country magazine’s November 2011 issue. Her pictorial is as charming as one would expect coming from Town & Country and Rosamund Pike alike.

There she is, all radiant and ethereal with a few white pigeons, wearing a white piece signed by Jason Wu. This T&C edition, however, was just a pretext (although I admit, it’s exactly the kind of pictorial which speaks to my heart) for another one of those movie talks (wink) – have you seen Johnny English Reborn? Rosamund Pike is amazing in that funny, funny movie! If you’re looking for an easy, funny movie, then please consider watching Johnny English Reborn! It’s refreshingly goofy and charmingly honest! Loved everyone’s performance in the film, especially Rosamund’s (oh, and I adored the way they styled her home, if you’ve seen it, you’ll know what I mean!)… and Johnny English’s. umm Rowan Atkinson’s!

I found this statistically interesting piece of beauty – age – fact I though I’d share with you. Because it may prove as interesting to you as it did to me and because you can confirm it or not.

A survey has been conducted on women over 60s and on teen girls. When asked if they like they appearance, 64% of the women in their early 60s responded affirmatively. Now get this – it’s the best part! – 69,3% of the teen girls also liked their appearance! Isolated similarity? When they were asked if they look good for their age, the 60s group checked back affirmatively in a proportion of 88,3% while 80,2% of the teens said yes!

Young ladies out there better be alert because the way they feel about themselves right now, may never change throughout their lives! Mothers out there? Proceed with care!

I’m in a party-ish mood today! You’ll see me do this again and again, so please don’t be surprised, it’s a pretty special day!

So I was thinking that this would be a good moment to introduce a special outfit, a party outfit which would be perfect for a Christmas celebration. Or any other celebration. The thing is, it’s not an easy color to wear, especially in a suit shape! Tom Ford’s scarlet velvet suit is heartbreakingly beautiful! I’m not sure I’d wear it with something lace-y underneath (I think the suit is sensual enough without tacky-ing it with black lace, although this was Tom Ford‘s styling idea), what I’m sure of, however, is that I would definitely love to wear this red beauty!

Wouldn’t you? (what would you pair it with? I’d go for black sky high stilettos, I’d button it up, wearing only my skin underneath that gorgeous red tux. Mkay, maybe a bra? But not a push up or anything. A black, see through bra like the one after the jump. Oh, and I’d belt it with a skinny black belt! Now it’s on you!)

I’d love to keep it neutral and let you discover the new commercial for Dolce and Gabbana’s The One perfume for women as represented by Scarlett Johansson! Unfortunately, I can’t. I can’t lay back and enjoy this short video without thinking that Dolce & Gabbana’s The One perfume campaigns should’ve been named “The Weird One” campaigns.

Both perfume, the one for women and the one for men (remember that strange, strange video with Mr Ego – naughey?) are too weird for words. So I’m going to step back, inviting you to watch a minute and change with Scarlett Johansson talking about… well, representing for Dolce and Gabbana’s perfume The One in a video directed by Jean Baptiste Mondino.
