Gotye Somebody That I Used To Know

It suddenly came to me, that with everything that went down the other week (you know I was saying something about a certain day being special?), I forgot to share my current musical obsession!

And it’s actually not just my obsession! Gotye’s Somebody That I Used To Know is in many ways the musical revelation of this second half of 2011. Suffice to say it has reached over 12 Million hits on Youtube in just 3 months! And that should really mean something, although coming from the indie scene and breaking through Australia and Europe mostly. Without further ado, here’s Gotye and Kimbra Somebody That I Used To Know:

Jessica Simpson’s Baby Bump. Finally!

After weeks and weeks of speculations and rumors flying left to right, finally, we have the chance to admire Jessica Simpson’s baby bump! And what a blessed sight that is! (is it just me, or today I have a soft spot for babies and baby bumps? Hmmm)

Jessica is looking lovely, radiant and … how far along do you think she is? Either way, I’m happy for her and I hope she has a wonderful, easy pregnancy and delivery! Wedding bells any day now, huh? Can’t wait for the dress and for Jessica’s subsequent bridal and maternity collections!

Gisele Bundchen’s Vogue UK December 2011

Ladies and gentlemen! Although you may be highly tempted to label this as the new fall circus in town, Gisele Bundchen’s Vogue UK December 2011 seems to be highly praised.

Aside from being photographed by Mario Testino and possessing such a heavenly blessed body, Gisele Bundchen’s new Vogue pictorial is pretty much a heavy colored mess. In my perspective. The lack of expression, the self assumed pride and crushing obvious ego overload fail to make me hit the like (virtual) button for this Vogue UK issue. Am I taking things too lightly? Did I miss something here? I know it’s a December issue so maybe I should taking it lightly on the colorful, electric side of the story. Should I?)

Meet Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon Twins, Monroe And Moroccan!

Only five months old and they’re already stars on National Television! Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins Monroe and Moroccan presented themselves at a special rendezvous with Barbara Walters, this Friday, on 20/20.

Some say it was a big hit for the TV show with unparalleled ratings for the segment. Say all they please, the truth about the twins is heartmelting: Roc and Roe, like their proud parents call them, look adorable and happy (so do Mariah and Nick). The baby pictures, apparently, weren’t auctioned off but donated for charity purposes. Good for them, blessings and happiness alongside their two lil’ treasures! (aren’t they the cutest thing? There’s also a website with pictures of the babies and the proud parents. You can check it out here)

Kate Spade Spring Summer 2012 Collection Is Adorable

I really, really tried! And although Halloween is just around the corner, I can’t stop thinking about all things summer. And warm. Light dresses, happy motifs, that’s me!

I ran across a sweet, sweet thing today, while I was doing my rounds and, yes, here it goes: looks from Kate Spade’s Spring Summer 2012 collection! Girly, joyful and absolute must – have’s, the pieces from Kate Spade’s collection made me smile. I mean – how can you not smile when you read something like this: Eat Cake for Breakfast! Oh, and – I went for an orange-y outfit? To match the imminent Halloween celebration? (wink) How do you like it? Doesn’t it make you smile? (okay, so I chose a stripey one too, but who’s counting?)

Rosie Huntington Whiteley Takes Her Clothes Off For Vogue Germany November 2011

Talking about Carine Roitfeld the other day reminded me of her fashion ways. Which were pretty strange, I admit, but really haunting. Carine used the models bodies as her Vogue signature style. Spice that with some cigarettes and you have the complete picture of what Roitfeld did for Vogue.

Ever since she left VP, I keep seeing her stereotypes throughout various editions of Vogue (let’s keep an eye out for that, like we do for the bob cut?). The latest which came to my attention is Vogue Germany, the November 2011 issue. With Rosie Huntington Whiteley on the cover, Vogue Deutsch manages a smooth, yet completely unwanted transition to a GQ –ish approach of fashion (you can discover it after the jump, in the gallery) with a little help from Alexi Lubomirski.

Tom Ford Visionaires Documentary Looks Pretty Interesting

Last week we had a documentary about Steve Jobs. Now let’s get back to fashion with a new documentary, this time, on Tom Ford. The Visionaries: Tom Ford which will air tonight, this very Sunday, October 23rd on OWN (at 8p.m. EDT / PDT).

As I don’t know when and if it will be shown elsewhere, I thought these previews would be most interesting as the documentary has followed Tom Ford from his September 2010 fashion show with his first womenswear collection in years until the opening of his LA store, this February. That makes 10 years in fashion time and Tom Ford is a reputedly private individual, both professionally and personally, so having him talk about himself and his work is huuuuuge! Take a look, and, why not, tune in tonight on OWN for this fashion treat!

Carine Roitfeld’s Magazine Will Be Different

We may not have a name yet, but Carine Roitfeld is already spreading the word about her magazine. We already know that she’s planning a September 2012 issue, the first of her printed magazine, in English.

Carine Roitfeld s Office We also know that she regrets using so many cigarettes and undressed girls in Vogue Paris under her reign. Now we’re informed that Carine “will try to do something totally different now” to keep her from getting “bored of myself or to bore my readers”.

Now about her readers – Carine expects them to be completely clueless when it comes to fashion and style: “It’s difficult for the woman to understand how to wear the clothes she is seeing on the catwalk.”

Umm. I’m confused? I thought we already had H&M, Zara and so forth for that… Didn’t we?
