Victoria’s Secret Holiday 2011 Ad. Have A Very Victoria’s Secret Christmas!
December 1st, 2011 by kpriss
After watching the Victoria’s Secret show (you did, didn’t you? And even if you didn’t, pretty much all you need to know about the 2011 show can be found here), you can all enjoy their Holidays Ad Campaign.
There isn’t much to say about the 90 seconds commercial filled with Angels, gorgeous lingerie and stunning images! Like the one after the jump, with the beautiful Lily Aldridge, a bouquet a red roses and a red tramway behind her! That should be on every billboard representing for Victoria’s Secret Christmas 2011 Campaign! What was your favorite image from the commercial?
Change The Shape Of Your Eyes With Eyeliner!
December 1st, 2011 by kpriss
If you only knew how many pages I had to open just to get to the source of this great picture! And even now I still can’t say with 100% certitude that I found who took it, whose beautiful eyes help us see the differences when tracing various eyeliner contours!
Either way, I cross my fingers and credit back, hoping that this is the rightful owner of them beautiful eyes! Now about what the picture is teaching us: that using eyeliner is not enough. We must also be aware of the effect this or that eyeliner trace has on our eyes shape! My absolute favorite? (and the one I will most certainly repeat on me own eyes) is the cat – eye (the one with the elongated finish just on the upper lid). If I add a touch of mascara, on the exterior corner upper lashes only, it’s glam all the way, baby! Retro, just how I like it (I only need that lovely party – dance outfit I was sharing a while back!). What’s your favorite? Or the one you see most suitable for your eyes shape?

Marni H & M Spring 2012 Collection
November 30th, 2011 by kpriss
Yesterday I found this very interesting piece of news coming from the giant Swedish fashion retailer H & M: they’ve collaborated with Marni on a capsule collection!
Expect it in the spring of 2012, March to be more specific and also expect it to be both womenswear and menswear. Clothes and accessories designed and supervised by Consuelo Castiglioni in the very spirit of Marni (which, in Hebrew, means “rejoice”) are going to hit the store and your wardrobes, should you choose to embrace the collection. H & M did this kind of experimental, youth oriented thing before when they worked with Rei Kawakubo. Are you impatient about next Spring in H & M stores? Or you preferred the more mainstream Versace collection instead of a subtle Marni style? (more looks from the collection after the jump, plus a video)
Printemps Christmas 2011 Windows With Karl Lagerfeld And Vanessa Paradis
November 30th, 2011 by kpriss
While we’re innocently following our daily schedules, Karl Lagerlfed is doing something extraordinary! And one of the last amazing things Karl did, was to light up Paris’ Printemps Christmas 2011 windows. With the ever gorgeous Vanessa Paradis.
You may ask yourselves if der Kaiser didn’t have anything better to do and to light up the store’s Christmas windows, but this is because this year they’re doing a Chanel special. Four windows with special sets illustrate Chanel in Paris, Chanel in Moscow, Chanel in Los Angeles and Chanel in Tokyo. I even found two videos of the animated windows – after the jump you too may admire the magical beauty of Chanel’s Lafayette Christmas 2011 windows! (I loved Los Angeles and Moscow but absolutely adored Paris with those wee Lagerfelds! You can see larger images in the gallery here! photos from here and here)

Lady Gaga Does Vanity Fair And Elle UK January 2012
November 29th, 2011 by kpriss
January 2012 magazines start pouring in. Vanity Fair January 2012 with Lady Gaga on the cover is pretty Christmas-y and pretty impressive at the same time. It’s Annie Leibovitz’s work, it should be a masterpiece!
Elle UK too has Lady Gaga on their January 2012 cover, this time by Matt Irwin. Only she’s wearing McQueen (from the Spring 2012 collection). And she actually got two covers – an orange one and a mint green one. Portrait – style. I’m curious to know what’s inside! Aren’t you? Hit the jump to see more images (or click here for the gallery!)

Fun, Colorful Armchair. Cappellini Proust Geometrica Armchair
November 29th, 2011 by kpriss
Reading endless lists of Christmas goodies, I stumbled across this really beautiful armchair I wanted you to see. It’s so colorful and fun to watch, it’d make a great addition to any interior. If it weren’t for the $13,517 price tag.
Cappellini Proust Geometrica Armchair was designed by Alessandro Mendini after a piece first created in 1978 for the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara. Notice the hand carved and hand painted wooden frame? It’s really a joyful piece of furniture, the kind we love. And if I’m not mistaken, it could be a perfect DIY project for those vintage, sparkle-less armchairs, couldn’t it? Who dares? Anyone?
IZ Kamakawiwo’ole Somewhere Over the Rainbow
November 29th, 2011 by kpriss
As today we’re celebrating, I thought about this soothing, peaceful, amazing tune from Israel IZ Kamakawiwo’ole (Rest in Peace!): Somewhere over the Rainbow.
What we’re celebrating? Life! Yeah baby, life! Wonderful life! Take it as a pre – Hump Day thing, take it as the Friday Break we didn’t have the week before. Take it as you wish, the simple truth remains: we have to remember to be thankful, hopeful, respectful and trustful and celebrate the life you’re living!
Most Fashionable Christmas Party: Tommy Hilfiger Holiday 2011 Campaign
November 29th, 2011 by kpriss
Forget Pajama parties and frat parties! Say hello to the Hilfigers! Tommy Hilfiger Holiday 2011 Ad Campaign is any spoiled… ahem preppy looking young individual’s dream party. Or so I think.
I know it’s supposed to look great, warm, family-ish and inviting. But to my eyes it’s odd and forced. Happy Hilfiger Holidays, partying with the Hilfigers at the Hilfiger residence. That kind of too – much, forced, odd. Am I taking this too far? It’s just an ad campaign after all, should I engage in a more shallow perspective over Tommy Hilfiger’s marketing approach? (even so, how come ads like John Lewis’ Holiday campaign can reach so deep within me and this house par-tay with the Hilfiger makes me cringe?)
