Emma Stone In Alexander McQueen Black Dress For 2012 SAG Awards
January 30th, 2012 by kpriss
And there goes the McQueen of the night! The lovely Emma Stone made a fashion statement at the 2012 SAG Awards in a black Alexander McQueen dress (from the pre fall 2012 collection – something we’ll discuss soon).
What I find it to be great, is that Emma Stone is the one wearing the dress, not the other way around. And that’s something worth mentioning since not everyone can handle the sartorial statement which comes under the McQueen label. I’m not a fan, personally, of this dress length (and ample skirt) – I find it to be doll – ish and, in most fashion instances, unfinished, like something’s missing. However, in this case, the shoes made one with the dress, that’s how much they fit (and that shouldn’t surprise me, the shoes too come from Alexander McQueen)!

Sofia Vergara And Julie Bowen Wearing Crimson Dresses For 2012 SAG Awards
January 29th, 2012 by kpriss
Now this is… cute! Both Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen (I love both of them to pieces, congrats to the Modern Family team for yet another win!) chose very similar dresses for the 2012 edition of the SAG Awards!
And it was not the cut that brought the two dresses together, but the color! Both actresses were wearing crimson dresses on tonight’s Red Carpet. Julie Bowen was wearing a Temperley crimson dress while Sofia Vergara was showing off her beautiful body in a body hugging crimson Marchesa dress. Lovely ladies, lovely dresses, but I think I prefer blouson dresses on Angelina – Julie’s dress didn’t do much justice to her sporty constitution. Did it?

Natalie Portman’s Giambattista Valli Deep Plum Dress 2012 SAG Awards
January 29th, 2012 by kpriss
A breathtakingly beautiful appearance on the 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet tonight: Natalie Portman! She’s really looking amazing! Luckily she got out of that pink dress she was wearing for the Golden Globes and put this fabulous Giambattista Valli deep plum dress!
It’s definitely more complimenting, more fitting and overall more stylish than many of the dresses Natalie Portman worn before. Those matching Harry Winston jewelry contribute to the overwhelming sensation. Wasn’t she just… perfect tonight?
Angelina Jolie’s Jenny Packham Black Dress For 2012 SAG Awards
January 29th, 2012 by kpriss
This should be pinned as a tradition – opening with Angelina Jolie whenever there’s a big Red Carpet event somewhere. Of course, where she’s gracing us with her appearance!
Angelina is back! Back to black. Back to her trademark “color” on the Red Carpet (or anywhere else). For the barely wrapped up 2012 edition of the SAG Awards, Angelina is wearing a Jenny Packham black dress with that blouson-ish top she made her signature style. I couldn’t locate a photo of her back, however – it was an impressive sight! The dress has a low back cut, exposing her tattoos. Which go well with the dress ( – in comparison, the white-ish Versace dress from the Golden Globes wasn’t a good match for her over tattooed skin).
Brad Pitt, was, biensur, wearing black, to coordinate with his famous partner. Nothing surprising there. (I can’t believe I’m actually saying that? but: ) I’m happy Angelina went back to wearing black dresses and smokey eyes. She looks so much better that way! Waxy but better. Doesn’t she?

Valentine’s Day Gifts: Chanel’s Beautiful Valentine’s Day Collection
January 29th, 2012 by kpriss
I know, I know, you don’t need Chanel for a Happy Valentine’s Day… and you don’t need Valentine’s Day as an excuse to buy anything Chanel. Howeverrr…
It would appear that Chanel has released this gorgeous set of products especially for the loving occasion, to put a fashionable spin on the classic Valentine’s Day red hued celebration. If I were to compare Chanel’s latest couture deed to this V day package, I’d definitely give my fashheart to the latter! The soft hues, the subtle shine… (daydreaming! sigh)
Wonder Miranda Kerr On Australia’s Grazia Cover
January 29th, 2012 by kpriss
She’s a Wonder(ful) Woman, alright! Miranda Kerr is proudly showing her blue suede shoes…. umm her flawless body holding her country’s flag on the cover of a special Collectors issue for the Australian edition of Grazia Magazine. All good. I think Miranda looks great as Wonder Woman, I just never pictured WW wearing a Chanel body before. (the Photoshop guy seems impressed too – his sloppy b**b job won’t get him a raise any time soon!)
Dare To Wear Leg Warmers As Arm Warmers?
January 29th, 2012 by kpriss
More than five years ago I had one of the greatest fashepiphanies ever: the leg warmers. I had no ballet / dancing knowledge, I had no friends who were taking ballet lessons (though I’m seriously looking into that for our daughter – but that’s another story altogether) so I had not seen the benefits of leg warmers until that day. When they were all over the place.
So I stormed into the first H & M I could find and got myself a pair of black leg warmers. Worn them long and good. And then, one year, I had this gorgeous tunic I wanted to wear for a night out. Sadly, it was too cold outside for that particular tunic. And then pop! Lightbulb! What if I’d wear my faithful black leg warmers as arm warmers? And so it started…
High Heels Can Get You Muscle And Joint Strains
January 29th, 2012 by kpriss
Pretty much like wearing skinny jeans can affect your blood circulation, the high heel addiction can put you at risk for muscle and joint strains. And I’m sure that’s no news for you, heels devoted out there! It’s a scientific study attesting that heels wearing women walk less efficiently and tire more easily. Anyone doubting? No. Anyone giving up high heels? No. Okay, moving on!
