Coco Rocha’s Vintage Givenchy Suit, Pink Hair For Met Gala 2012

Pretty much against this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala theme, Coco Rocha showed up wearing a vintage Givenchy look. It would appear that the frock (a yellow high waist pants suit) originally belonged to Elizabeth Taylor? Matching the fuchsia top with equally pink tresses, Coco Rocha stands a part in a heavily fashionable crowd. Faux pas or style statement? {tFS}

Models At Met Gala 2012: Chanel Iman In Tom Ford Black And White Dress

Gracing an event’s Red Carpet arm in arm with Tom Ford is enough to bring a world of attention on you! Especially if you’re Chanel Iman attending the 2012 edition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala. And especially if the dress you’re wearing is designed by your exquisite date, Tom Ford! Chanel Iman’s black and white Tom Ford dress actually made me believe Chanel had curves! Clever, huh?{tFS}

Models At Met Gala 2012 Caroline Trentini Theyskens Light Blue Dress

Knowing that Olivier Theyskens designed Caroline Trentini’s wedding dress, it looks like a logical choice for both of them, to appear together at the 2012 edition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala. Caroline Trentini is a great model for Theyskens light blue skirt and lace top gown for the Met Gala 2012. The dress is lovely, now we could use some smiling, Caroline! {tFS}

Models At Met Gala 2012: Anja Rubik In White Cutout Vaccarello Dress

I know I compared the Red Carpet arrivals for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala to a regular Oscars Red Carpet. But it’s all about fashion at the Met Gala, so naturally, I’m all eyes and ears for the models and the designers. Let’s see what the models were wearing: Anja Rubik was dressed in a white cutout dress from Anthony Vaccarello. Pretty dramatic for her silhouette, huh? {tFS}

Cate Blanchett, Florence Welch In McQueen Dresses Met Gala 2012

Representing for the house of Alexander McQueen at the 2012 edition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala: Cate Blanchett and Florence Welch. Both arrived with designer Sarah Burton and made a stunning impression – wouldn’t see it otherwise while wearing McQueen.

Cate Blanchett kept true to her statuesque appearance with a black McQueen dress while Florence Welch remained faithful to butter – y shades in a complex tiered light beige McQueen dress. Beyond honoring Schiaparelli and Prada, the Met Gala is first and foremost about fashion. And both Cate and Florence delivered a respectable amount of amazing style on tonight’s Red Carpet! Gisele Bundchen In Givenchy Black Dress For Met Gala 2012

While still being the world’s best paid model, Gisele Bundchen failed to live up to the expectations at tonight’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute 2012 Gala. Arriving with her husband, Tom Brady, Gisele permanently stuck her leg out through the slit of her black sequined Givenchy dress (check them out looking absolutely cute together in the gallery here).

Pulling an Angelina? Maybe. Trying to make the best of the front zipped dress? That too. But average and safe overall. Gisele has the body and the modeling knowledge in her DNA, but her star was completely shadowed by Karolina Kurkova tonight. Wouldn’t you agree? (photos via)

Marion Cotillard In Dior Dress For Met Gala 2012

Marion Cotillard acts as a spokesperson for the house of Christian Dior. As such, it wasn’t a surprise to see her wearing a gown signed Dior for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala 2012.

The soft dark violet dress worn by Marion Cotillard was slightly tweaked from the sheer catwalk version, but that didn’t alter its charm. Especially when Marion wore with such a sweet, sweet smile! Oh, and did you notice her very short bangs? (reminded me of Rooney Mara, actually!) In my perspective, Marion pulls a safe choice on tonight’s Met Gala 2012 Red Carpet. (photos via)

Chloe Sevigny In Miu Miu Black Dress For Met Gala 2012

My dahlings! This is a day to remember! I like what Chloe Sevigny is wearing! For the 2012 edition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala, Chloe chose to pay homage to Miuccia Prada’s immense talent. And she did so by wearing a dress from Miuccia’s Miu Miu Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection.

And she wore it good! Chloe even styled her hair properly for this Red Carpet occasion, so no problem there either! It was a good day for fashion, the Impossible Conversations really brought up the best in people! How do like Chloe’s look tonight? (photos via)
