Favorite Summer Dresses: Shirt Dress By Alice + Olivia

It’s time for yet another one of those amazingly beautiful and incredibly versatile shirt dresses! The Tavi Pintuck Dress in Baby Pink (how sweet is that color, huh? Baby pink!) from Alice + Olivia is so gorgeous, I’d like to order two of them! Just in case…

What are your experiences with shirt dresses? To me, they’re about the most wearable, day – to – night dresses! You can add glamour and sparkle with some well places accessories and high heels but you can also keep them comfortable and office – suitable with a pair of flats (sandals or ballerinas), even add a nice jacket when it gets cold – er. And just because I can’t help it, my dahlings! You know all too well by now, the Jumpsuit is in this year! As I’m typing this, I wear a flowery jumpsuit I bought last year at my local H & M. But in the seventies, jumpsuits were way big-ger of a deal than they are now! Especially for men: just read the text in the picture I found, if you don’t believe me! {Retronaut}

As a point – and – shoot kind of “photographer”, I never really worried about camera straps. A compact point and shoot which fits comfortably in any handbag wasn’t going to give me headaches or backaches.

However, if I wasn’t comfortably sitting in my chair at home, I would be anywhere where there’s a fashion show, swirling for hipsters and fashionistas, snapping away! Sartorialist, beware!

Kidding, of course! The thought alone of hunting high and low for significantly stylish details with a a really heavy (DSLR) camera around my neck is enough to keep me glued to my chair. That’s the only reason the Sartorialist got famous and I didn’t. (yeah, right!)

I sometimes get caught in this or that controversy, complaining about this or that shade of gray in this or that advertising (or pictorial). But boy, are we spoiled or what? Here’s a vintage ad campaign for Smirnoff Vodka I came across in my daily readings. How. Disturbing. Is. That? {Retronaut}

These are kind of fun and a must have for collectors. Reebok teamed up with Marvel for a special Superheroes Sneakers Collection. It’s like Spiderman himself revamped a pair of classic Reeboks for his costume, that’s how good these designs are!

My favorite pair? I’d have to pick two – the Black Widow for the girly vibe and the Sabertooth for the seasonal comfort! How about you? Mary Kate Olsen (and her twin sister, Ashley) always felt the media pressure in their lives. Nothing seemed to have changed from being yesterday’s superstar kids to today’s superstar fashion icons.

But with the fame sparkling territory comes its dark side, the lack of privacy and permanent public scrutiny. Mary – Kate Olsen’s new man is Olivier Sarkozy (yes, brother to France’s ex – president, Nicolas Sarkozy, who is famously married to former model Carla Bruni). Nothing odd so far.

But the picture below is too off beat, even for Mary – Kate. Not that we’d image hipsters to be normal people, but, really? (Olivier Sarkozy walking around New York city with his daughter and his girlfriend. Cue – the girlfriend is the smoking one)

After weeks (months, actually) of rumors and speculations, we finally have official confirmation (through their representative’s issued statement) that Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are no longer a couple. What seemed to be the perfect pair living the love dream and having the perfect family, turned out to be just another sand castle.
