Miu Miu’s Spring Summer 2013: Hitchcock -ian Fashion
October 3rd, 2012 by kpriss
Now before reviews start pouring in on the good or the bad side (though I doubt they’ll be any mauvais talk about Miuccia Prada’s new collection), Miu Miu Spring Summer 2013 fashion show looks like torn from a Hitchcock movie! Suspense – filled set (drenched in noir save for the wooden catwalk) peppered with retro looking denim clothes. Not to mention the vertigo – inducing prints! {style}
Alexander McQueen Shoes And Bags, Spring Summer 2013
October 3rd, 2012 by kpriss
As much as I like Alexander McQueen anything (the show, the clothes, the philosophy) I’ll switch focus from the usual Fashion Week talk we’ve had so far to the shoes & bags on the Spring Summer 2013 Alexander McQueen catwalk. Because the collection in itself was nothing short of fabulous and stunning.
Sarah Burton’s inspiration this season was all around bees. And it’s not without double meaning as she’s been working hard in keeping the McQueen legacy intact and ever – blossoming. We can easily observe the hats here as well, the shades of black, red, yellow, the belts and the strapped sandals (and thigh – high sandals, like Tom Ford’s). (there’s more after the jump; you can see images from the entire collection here)
Everybody Loved The Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2013 Collection!
October 3rd, 2012 by kpriss
Oh dear! Marc Jacobs put on his best fashion game forward and served everyone a nicely cut, joyful collection for Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2013. And the fash – population melted at his feet like ice on fire! It’s Vuitton, baby! Taking over the world, one monogram at the time! {style}
Jennifer Lawrence Covers Vogue UK November 2012 In Dolce & Gabbana Dress
October 3rd, 2012 by kpriss
Vogue UK continues to replicate Vogue US’ style. At least as far as the cover choices go! Their November 2012 issue’s preview shows Jennifer Lawrence, as adorable as always, in Dolce and Gabbana lace dress (from the Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection) posing for Alasdair McLellan.
There’s no telling if the inside pictorial will reference her role in the Hunger Games franchise (her hair is not Katniss – dark) and although the cover is charming (due to Jennifer’s charisma), looks dull and seriously lacks sparkle. Hoping the inside goodies will upstage this blandness!
Fancy Lamps: Jeeves And Wooster Ceiling Lamps By Jake Phipps
October 3rd, 2012 by kpriss
I was scooping around the Interwebs for some fancy lamps (we’re currently redecorating the master bathroom and I wanted something offbeat) and here’s what I found: Jake Phipps Wooster and Jeeves top hats lamps! If the name ring a bell it’s precisely because of the iconic British TV Series from the late 80s. The designer really had a great idea: fancy – ing hats into lamp shades! Aren’t they something? {jakephipps}
Daniel Craig Bond Covers: Vanity Fair Vs The Hunger
October 3rd, 2012 by kpriss
My dahlings! Are you excited for the new James Bond movie? Its name is Skyfall, just in case you had no idea. And it’s ready to hit the big screen next month! Consequently, James Bond has started covering all kinds of magazines.
(how do you like Daniel Craig as James Bond? I wasn’t too pleased at first, but he really grew on me). The Hunger magazine’s third issue has Daniel Craig on the cover as photographed by Rankin. On the commercial end of magazine covers, Daniel Craig is on Vanity Fair’s November 2012 issue cover as photographed by the one and only Annie Leibovitz. As much as I like Annie’s work, I think I prefer Rankin’s cover this time. Where do you stand on the Bond covers front?

Geek Chic Vuitton
October 2nd, 2012 by kpriss
Because we still have to see Vuitton and Paris Fashion Week is not over yet until Marc Jacobs sings, it’s time for a geeky Louis Vuitton printed tee shirt as imagined by Megan Lara! I know, it may look like the usual LV monogram print, but do take a closer look by clicking on the picture! Funny, huh? Pour les conaisseurs! {fashionablygeek}
Did You Know About MAC’s Marilyn Monroe’s Makeup Collection?
October 2nd, 2012 by kpriss
I just found out and I’m really excited! I think that, in spite of my aversion for anything other than Lancome mascara and YSL Illuminator (and a Clinique eyebrows crayon), I might consider a thing or two from this new M.A.C. collection!
After all, it’s Marilyn! I’m sure she would’ve signed a collaboration for a MAC Marilyn Makeup Collection if she would still be around! There’s a bit for every kind of glamour girl in you, but I think I’ll be settling for Brow Finisher, the false eyelashes and maybe the black liner. All ready to hit stores this October!
