So you might of heard it by now, given that it keeps making the rounds of the fash – interwebs for a couple of days. But how do you really feel about it? John Galliano’s Legion of Honor Chevalier accolades were withdrew by the French president, Francois Hollande since the designer was found guilty of racism and anti – Semitism (you do remember the scandal). Should Galliano just lay low and forget about comingbacks? Ever? {Vogue}

I think John has been punished enough now. He made a terrible mistake. There’s a lot wrong in the fashion world and especially the world in general. Some people do not deserve ever a second change. that’s not the case with John’s mistake in my opinion. Far from it. In his case I would say it is time to move on. Don’t kill off this man’s talent. He should come back and work on with less pressure.
Isnt John making a coming back at the Schiaparelli house ? He will be back from ashes. I really don´t think he gave much value for that medal . He didnt attend a meeting with Queen Elizabeth, no less… and used a migraine as excuse.
I agree with you Riana.
Besides, there are many African dictators who still old not only the Legion of Honor but the British knighthood as well. So, it is not that those “honours” mean much nowadays.
It’s a mistake to tell the truth? Really?
umm.. YO – seriously? In this case?
True, ana, it was more something more formal than anything else. But what you’re saying there? Really? He’s designing for Schiaparelli? Starting when? This fall it’s his first collection for the house? (that’s really exciting!)
Riana – totally agree with you! I think John has seen of all colors by now. Maybe they should let us enjoy his fashion talents as well?
