How To Wear A Men’s Shirt

Summer is here and with it came the laid back, relaxed style I’ve been dreaming for since the last snow! Casual, no – fuss outfits that don’t take a week to prep and most certainly not a moth’s wage to buy!

In that spirit, I strongly advice you basic pieces that can also be worn in layers but also year after year. Basic pieces is what you’ll find most inspiring and challenging to work around and build fashionable outfits! Like, for instance, this men’s shirt below? Yes, on HER! Isn’t it dreamy beautiful? Simple, yet effective style that lasts can be nearer than you thought – raid your boyfriend / husband’s closet for something similar to achieve that laid back, relaxed look in a second! Did you ever think about wearing a men’s shirt as a dress? Did you ever go as far as wearing it on the street? If so, how was it? Would you encourage others to do it as well? (It’s Barcelona, baby via)

Well it is cute on her,but not everyone should or could wear a men’s shirt like she is.
But I have been wearing men’s shirts for years, my brothers’ and my dad’s. They can be fun! :)

This is a nice look. I love it and it made me feel and look good. I still wear them in different ways. I kept (or stole) them as a memory from former BF’s and a ex-husband that is naughty I know but, ah well….;) :D

Oh good! There’s another consensus right here! yaaay! Love it! I was wondering – I use to wear my husband’s summer striped shirt. But looking at the picture above, it got me thinking if linen or better, silk shirts don’t work better? with no print, no stripes on? You have more experience than me in wearing men shirts, what’s your advice?

My advice? For just walking around doing grocery shoppings for instance? Not above 35/40(?) in the first place. Some piece shouldn’t be wore above a certain age or more like in a certain way. I am very open minded but in this case almost medieval. ;) To the beach with sandals or slippers is different though in my ‘medieval’ view.
My favorite choice was the green checkered over-sized (like builders wear??) one with boots. I also had a green-ish one and my fave I still wear, a checkered red one also like builders wear(??) with jeans or army pants and loose knotted a bit below the wast. Love the last look since the 80’s.
Is this English or at least understandable? I have no idea since it’s early here and I couldn’t sleep so well…..
