Anyone remembers the viral “The Earth from Above”? A series of photographs, originally titled “La Terre vue du Ciel” by Yann Arthus-Betrand became viral a few years back. The unimaginable beauty of our Earth seen from the air enchanted the eye and warmed the heart.
Yann Arthus-Betrand’s eye just turned into a movie project with Luc Besson’s Europacorp; their project, HOME will be launched in 43 days, June 5th 2009. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures and a video!)
Designers have teamed up to celebrate the special event – Home, Yann Arthus-Betrand’s movie: Yves Saint Laurent presented a limited edition line made from Organic cotton that will also be sold starting with June 5th.
Designing for a good cause doesn’t imply the design is less important than the cause itself. The t-shirts don’t look so good in my opinion. Regardless of the bad merch case they’ve got going for Home, I can’t wait for the movie! (via Home, WWD)

It’s Earth Day today I’d hope people does realise that and why….
It’s silly I know but that trailer made me cry……
No the T-shirts don’t look that good they aren’t inspirational for this cause.
I must’ve missed those images when they made the rounds – STUNNING! Curious to hear more about the project as a whole …
Happy Earth day today and everyday! : )
I’m going to stay at friends this weekend whoms house is located like the houses on the photo above at the edge of Dutch famous flowerfields. No, I’m not kidding!
They’ve build a little balcony on their roof. Removed some off the roof to make room to see and also important smell the flowers! It’s now the right time all is in full blossom…..every year I’m astonished.
I want to see this movie too. Thought the trailer freaks me out. What are we thinking, what are we doing?
