Remember those cute sandals at the back of your closet? Not long before taking them out! I know you’re ready, but how about your feet? Are your feet ready for sandals?

Just like you’re preparing your body for the beach season, your feet need some pampering for the flimsy sandals and open toes footwear season! As much as you would invest in a fabulous sandal, save some pennies and time for your feet! Unlike sandals, your feet are loyal every season! Let’s go through my 5-steps routine for fabulous sandals feet!

1.Evaluate!

Whether you like it or not, you’ll have to assess how your feet are getting out of the winter season. No worries, though, in most instances, there’s just a case of attention crave! You’ll need to allow your feet to feel they haven’t been forgotten, all wrapped up in thick socks and boots!

However, if you notice anything strange (discolored nails or cracked skin), you might need to evaluate the situation with a doctor. You’ll need your feet not only to look good, but most importantly, to be healthy!

2.Soak!

Now’s the sweet bath time! If you’re like me and you count your minutes, you can squeeze this step under the desk (please don’t try this at work!) or while checking the homework or simply while catching up with your favorite TV series. Either way, you’ll have to soak your feet for at least 15 minutes!

I usually have a home-made solution for this – baking soda and vinegar! The makers of all things clean and beautiful! After 15 minutes in the warm water with the home-made mix, get ready for the next step:

3.Renew!

With a pumice stone, while your feet are still in the soaking bath, remove the dry/dead skin on the soles of the feet. From heels to toes, the pumice stone will scrub off the dead skin, stimulating the skin renewal. Baby new skin, soft and perfect with just a natural stone and a home-made remedy bath! Now it’s time for the next level:

massage oil into feet to repair skin

4.Pamper!

A relaxing foot massage – isn’t that perfect? Who knows your feet better than you? All the aches, all the blisters, all the nasty shoes – you know them all and so do your feet! Take a moment to massage them gently with just olive oil! If you have coconut oil or shea butter at hand, they work wonders too! Rub the oil into the skin for just a few moments and put on a pair of cotton socks.

5.Color!

You know what they say – lipstick can brighten any day! Such is the case with a cute pedicure! Just paint your toenails in whatever color flights your fancy: bright red, candy pink, rock’n roll black or a classic French, anything goes as long as you clean your nails (with nail polish remover) and paint two coats of lacquer! Please keep your toenails square and short (you can only go as far as the toe goes, don’t go over the toe, it’s tacky!).
