I’m really an avid tea drinker. I love to drink my tea hot, even during the summer season (weird? Could be, as I’m also enjoying home-made ice tea as well but I’d rather have my tea on the hot side). As such, when our dear friend, Ellington, sent me a link to Tiffany’s Gatsby inspired jewelry collection, my eyes saw the sparkle of the tea set instead of the precious gems and cascading chained metals and beads.
And in good reason as while a bracelet costs $10,500 (I’m just citing one of the many prices, don’t be alarmed, they’re not all 5-figured tagged!) and the fancy tea set costs $34,550. Sterling silver, Arts&Crafts inspired, this set really is as iconic as the brand and the architectural inspiration it was spawned to remind of.
Breaking it down in elements, the round tray is ‘just’ $3,200 while the teapot costs $14,400. The sugar bowl and the creamer each come with a price tag of over $8,400. I loved the copper rivets, the jade lids and the rosewood handles. It’s really a lovely addition to any tea passionate or for those who dream about a real Breakfast at Tiffany’s sensation. Be sure to stock on silver whitening solutions as tea is known for its tinting properties.

Such a lovely set….unfortunately out of my price range by about $34.5k :)
Nice tea set but I will stick to my Mom’s heirloom silver tea service. :)
I stick to my RVS, double hull teapot. The 16 old year teapot has a bakelite handle and knob on the lid. Still in perfect shape..
Also still available for €59 and that’s not even a cheap teapot!!
Back then the price of this particular teapot was FL.24,95…..sighs….
where do you buy your tea ladies? At the local grocery store or do you prefer specialized stores? I would love to experiment, but I don’t have a lot of time to look for the right blend and the lovely ladies from the tea shop closest to us seem to have endless amounts of time to discuss every tea leaf in their precious shop, I end up either buying what I don’t need or buying nothing and storming out of their shop because I don’t have time to listen to their tea stories anymore.
{blushing} I’m a terrible tea shopper but I sooooooooooooo love tea! I just don’t have time and patience to try them all! {inconsolably sobbing} I always end up putting green tea on our groceries list and just pick up Lipton’s green tea with whatever flavor I find, usually citrussy. {hiding face} any suggestions?
I have various brands that I stick with like Tetley, Red Rose, PG Tips, and Twinings. And there is a tea shop that I like to frequent called DavidsTeas.
If you are going to go shop for tea Kpriss in a tea store, one must make time for it, unless you know what you want already.
One of my all time favourite tea experiences in Blighty was shopping at Harrods in their Food Hall. They have a wonderful selection of teas! : )
LOLz!!! I would love to visit that tea shop hahaha…..
I buy my tea and coffee in a special tea and coffee store. There are also two tables where the clients can drink or taste the many teas and coffees with great cakes and such. The owner only talks when you like him to and then he’s very enthusiastic.
At night I only drink tea. White Chinese Tea. An advice from the owner and since then I only drink this white tea at night. Delicious subtle taste. I have always loved Earl Grey. That’s for daytime though.
I prefer tea leaves. I use a one-persons tea egg when I need just for one cup. Cover the cup and leave it for 5 minutes……yummy….
Lipton is not a bad brand but I have my doubts with these flavors. Not to bash you Kpriss. I can take my time and when I like something really I stick to it for a long time. Not very adventures though but I am a Taurus ;) :D
