We live in interesting times, my dahlings! When the shows become reality. A world where entertainment is both King and Queen of the Prom (Andrej Pejic taught us a valuable lesson) and the lines between written scripts and lived life have just become blurrier than ever.
Don Draper is on the cover of Rolling Stone’s latest issue. I know some of you prefer to call it a Jon Hamm cover, but do take a closer look, this is no Jon Hamm. This is smoking Don Draper, as photographed by Mark Seliger. That’s what happens when you’re in character for six seasons. Your character’s skin becomes your own. I wonder what character he’ll play from 2014 onwards when Mad Men will finally be releasing its last episodes!
The world as we know it will change. Definitely and irrevocably. There’ll be Mad Men no more? I actually can’t believe they’re talking about the end of the show one year before it’ll happen! And I’m even more saddened by the fact that Jon Hamm only gets news coverage when it comes to his TV series character or his habit of not wearing underwear and his private parts being the constant target of paps’ photographs.

Yes this is Don Draper. A nice cover!
I do like Jon Hamm and I must say that the other films and projects that I have seen him in he was good. He will have a career outside of Don Draper and MadMen because he has being doing other things all a long. Like guest staring on 30 Rock for example as a recurring character. :)
I know, I loved his episodic appearances here and there (and the fun parts he had in his GF’s movies)!
