Fresh Cover Elle Netherlands October 2012 (Querelle Jansen)

As our dear friend, Riana, pointed out, Elle Netherlands has some pretty issues out there. Looking at their October 2012 issue, I can tell this: I love Querelle Jansen’s cover hair! It’s a haircut I’d love to adopt and could easily suit a wavy hair like mine (it looks like this anyway, minus the bangs, so the way I figured is that no matter how bad the haircut and how ill-fitting, if you put bangs on it, it makes it a hipster haircut. People will say: oh! She wanted it this way! And bam! You’re a hipster! Works like that, doesn’t it?)

Next: I love the cover’s colors combo. It’s fresh and joyful. Notice the Kenzo t shirt? It’s good. It means Kenzo is on to something and that they nailed the hipster niche alright! So. How do you like this pretty cover?

I’m so sad this lovely cover has been ruined with a huge orange sticker that says: not €4,95 but €3,95. Next to Querelle’s head! It’s not a glued sticker that can be carefully removed alas it’s printed on the page. It almost covers the E + L. I pay gladly that one euro more without it…..:(

The last months as well Vogue as Elle are really nice. Last month’s limited edition is wonderful. It’s an advertorial for Black Chanel. I was so happy to pick up one of the last somewhere in my hometown. It’s a nice firm box with only ELLE the front and the text very stylish done:

Black generates light or From black generates light? ( Uit zwart onstaat het licht) – Chanel Paris.

The back of the box shows the Black Chanel bottle. All is closed with a black ribbon. I love it!

Michiel Huisman, Dutch actor whom acts in the HBO’s series Treme fronts the cover with no text. Also very nice. While the not limited issue looks normal and I forgot who was on the cover??? Not Michiel. :)

The best things in life are free…I have got this issue for free without the ugly sticker and sealed in plastic!!. As a present when I bought my so very much desired coat (and a jumper and scarf). All warm autumn colours. I’d put the coat on looked in the mirror and it was my coat!! Yessssss!
I am told the coat is a replica of a coat of the designers grandmother from the ’20’s, so the former decade! She found it on her grandmother’s attic and got inspired. I love that aspect. The coat is elegant but also wearable in a casual way. I am happy :)) <3

I have a few hats that goes with the coat. One makes it so Great Gatsby ;)

wow! That is great! I can almost feel your happiness just reading these lines! :x

Can’t believe you received the Elle as well! Isn’t that a sign? I’ll pay more attention to the Dutch Elle from now on! It sounds amazing from what you’re telling me. And Vogue as well! Ah, you must be so proud, having all these talented and dedicated people in your country!

And how is the scarf? I know you’re not embracing the idea, but maybe a picture from neck down? When’s that tablet popping in anyway? ;)

My tablet and some other things….grrrr…. Are you familiar with people that make promises, promises? Well, I know some and now I am fed up with waiting, waiting and more waiting….. After this weekend I am going to contact a student organisation whom do jobs like this for less money. It’s a trustworthy organisation and students can use some extra money and I can use some help. Wish I hadn’t wait since on October 1 our VAT is 2% higher on lots of things. Thank you Bruxelles!
