So everybody’s gearing up for heavy fashion issues once September magazines arrive. Vogue Germany September 2012 cover makes is hard to understand where the fashion is… While looking like a carbon copy of Vogue US, putting Salma Hayek on the cover only makes us think of her famous husband.
Because, you know, Salma Hayek’s husband is the CEO of PPR (mother company of Gucci, Stella McCartney, AlexanderMcQueen, YSL, Bottega Veneta and so many others) and, coincidentally, I’m certain, she’s wearing a midnight blue sequined Gucci dress on the cover. I know, I know, it looks black on our end (that’s how much they twisted and turned the darn photo in Photoshop!) but I can assure you it’s midnight blue with black ornaments – how do I know? Well, simply because Salma wore it before! At a Cannes dinner back in May, as you’ll see after the jump!
Alex Lubomirski really tried to highlight her the best he could, but that boring look on Salma’s face doesn’t make her more interesting / attractive. Also – if instead of recycling this Gucci sequined number, she would’ve chosen a McQueen dress, the cover could have had real potential. What’s she doing on the cover in the first place? Oh, I get it! Is she trying to push Savages in Germany? (Savages is the latest movie Salma has starred in and has been released debut July in the States)
On a funny note – her cover tagline says that it’s easier to get an Oscar than a gut husband! Wow. That’s Elle – cheesy, not Vogue – worthy!

I don’t know what it is with her; I can not find her interesting at all. I don’t like her style and her fake b**bs. She didn’t need them at all remembering From Dusk Till Dawn and all the guys I knew back then were in love with the real deal. Couldn’t blame them ;) :)
I like her a lot. But as a latina, I am biased.
I don´t see her as a great actor, at all , she overacts sometimes, me thinks.
Anyway, that cover probably was shot in May as well the photo en Cannes as fashion magazines work with that 4-5 months time lapse.
