He is definitely one of the musicians I admire the most in our modern era. I’m not familiar with his solo project, the one Interview May 2012 announces with big cover titles, but his work in the White Stripes duo, enchanted me.
Naturally, this issue is one I’d look into because of its cover star. Although Craig McDean’s photo of Jack White is like torn our of Johnny Depp’s style book. Would Jack White be preparing for a Tim Burton project? There’s no telling, and the inside pictorial seems to stray away from that cover feeling. Especially under the influence of his actual interview, conducted by Buzz Aldrin, as White instructed it. (click through for more)
If Buzz Aldrin sounds familiar, it’s because he was part of the 1969 Apollo mission when Aldrin and Neil Amstrong became the first people to set foot on the moon. Such an unusual choice of interviewer, but then again, Jack White isn’t quite your ordinary artist either. Hereby two of the inside pictures and, if you’re interested, you can read the interview here. How does this make you feel?

He rather looks like Johnny Depp’s latest character in these photos.
