While modeling may still look like one of the most wonderful jobs on the planet, some insiders are trying hard to make it look more like what it actually is rather than couture lollipops (and good for them! otherwise either one of our tween girls could end up doing a photo shoot with Uncle Terry…).
As such, model and activist Sara Ziff, founder of Model Alliance, joined efforts with one of the Jezebel writers, also former model herself, Jenna Sauers, to reveal as much as possible in a survey sent to 241 models. Of which only 85 answered. Even so, the facts stand straight and speak loud about the industry. Take a look for yourself:

And it’s old news too but it has to told over and over again….Chapeau to Sara and Jenna.
I do know two former real life models. They told me stories like this. This girls survived and moved on due to their stable backgrounds. Both also told me how lonely they often felt and how mean the competition could be.
you’d think that in an environment where it’s all about beauty and making beautiful things, people would be more happy. When it’s all the contrary! I feel so sad for those models who are really struggling out there! But I’m convinced nothing will change!
You know what they say “beauty is only skin deep” ;)
