How To Get The Perfect Tan. Without Sunbathing. Without Tanning Beds

The word is out about a certain miracle product which is sensed to give us the perfect tan with no sunbathing whatsoever! That means no tanning beds either (Praised be the Lord! Those cancer – inducing lamps capsules always gave me the creeps!)

You may be tempted to believe it’s the tan in a bottle solution some of you already use (self tanners, duh!). No. It’s not that either! It’s a revolutionary teeny tiny capsule called Scenesse. Until now used for medical purposes only, the tiny capsule (it’s like a grain of rice) is to be placed under the skin where it stays for 50 minutes and stimulates the production of a natural pigment, the melanin.

The melanin is responsible for the tone of our skin – larger quantities of melanin equals darker skin. Hence – a healthy bronze we’re always searching for! Melanin is also responsible for gray hair. I wonder if Scenesse could be used for that too… (or if the hair dye industry will ever allow that to happen!)

hope that it will work well.
people in Germany and UK are so absolutely crazy about being ultra tanned.beyond imaginacion, untill their skin morph in a kind of old cracked leather.

I read an article and watched a video about a pill that makes sunscreen redundant. That pill though needs the beautiful coral rif!!

Yep, let’s kill the rest of the sea for a tan too to make human “kind’s” life easier….sighs….

What’s the medical purpose for this Scenesse pill? I can’t go into the sun and am always pale. Not even for free I would take this. I rather stay pale and I feel comfortable with it too.

ginger, the pill was originally made for people who suffer from Vitiligo which is a very annoying disease with discolored patches on the skin.
a good reason for normal people use it is that they will reduce sun exposure and sun beds and this will reduce the incidence of melanoma(a cancer caused mostly by Uv radiacion)

I ADORE pale skin. like alabaster , but must be thick with very small pores. otherwise if i see the veins inside i dont like it.

On my hands veins shows now and then….depends…..and I am not albaster either since I have wreckles…..:(((((((

Oh, that’s is good reason for using this pill! Especially for the people that suffers Vitiligo. Yes, a very unpleasant disease. I won’t take such a pill though. Never. I love to sit in the shadow and sit or walk in the late sun.

Thanks for the info :)

I used to hide from the sun and value my pale skin. Until I came to realize I only have one life to live and I slowly but steadily increased my appreciation for tanned skin and swimming / beach time. Plus the kids love it so… ;)

As a woman of colour I have no need for tanning beds or products like this and for that I am ever so grateful! : )

Ellington; don’t laugh or get mad or anything: but as a kid I always thought white people were jealous at the skin of coloured people and therefore treated them bad.
I have a very dark friend who likes to sit in the shadow with me. I told this before I think? Simply because he does not want to get darker. The mistake white people make is that a dark skin doesn’t tan. But it does.

Oops *wreckels* = wrinkles of cours!

“The mistake white people make is that a dark skin doesn’t tan. But it does.”
Right.

in fact, studies have shown that after sun exposure, not only the production of melanin but also its migration from under to more superficial layers are much more evident in dark skin than in pale skin.

I have always loved my skin colour which is a lovely milk chocolate brown, and yes if I do sit out in the sun I will tan but I do not. I do not avoid the sun but I do not seek it out. I never understood why white people sat in the sun to get darker because it is soo boring and they burn.
And I also NEVER understood why white people treat people of colour so poorly when they seem to want to have darker skin, thicker lips, and sometimes more curvy butts?

…and botox! I remember Oprah said: “Black don’t crack” and cheered “What do you say sisters?” LOL! And they all cheered along :)
The question these days is more like: “why do people treat each other so poorly?” Why? If I had the answer and power we would live in a better world. But who am I???

To get back to the topic. Ellington maybe you don’t tan but other coloured people does. I see some Moroccans or people from Indonesian descent get darker in summer. Some don’t. White people tan different to as you know of course. Some don’t burn others get pink. Redheads as I am.

Ellington: i think that unconsciously white people know that dark skin is much better in quality (less prone to acne, less alergies, less signals of aging. well, i could go on…)and then achieving a similar colour would translate in a better quality of skin, which is complete nonsense given UVAs in fact will only damage the skin.
people here in Germany like their skin in a dark orange leatherish cracked fashion that is not beautiful , at all.
its important to note that NATURAL dark skinned people DO NOT have MORE melanin than natural pale people. The difference is the TYPE of melanin.
“Everyone skin has about 5 million melanocytes that produce the same amount of melanin.
The differance is there are two types of melanin: pheomelanin and eumelanin…”

Thanks for explaining that mdinah!
Oh and ajginger I do tan,and I could if I made the effort to sit out in the sun, I will get darker, but thankfully I do not burn! : )
And I am blessed that I never suffered from acne and yes in many cases black don’t crack! ; )

And when I do come and see you some day ajginger we will sit out of the sun together drinking tea and having a lovely chat! <3 : ) xo
