It’s not what you would expect from fashion magazines getting ready for summer, isn’t it? Marie Claire June 2011 and Allure June 2011 both feature pregnant stars on their covers. Which could be great. Only it’s not. Why?
First because Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson on Marie Claire June 2011 cover is happening because they did a movie together? (Something Borrowed). Which is perfectly alright with me, only the cover comes a bit late, the movie has ceased to be a novelty for a while now (it has premiered in theaters for almost two weeks now) and is truly inaccurate: Kate Hudson is currently pregnant in her (I think) ninth month! Hence, a far cry from the cover silhouette! (don’t miss January’s cover right after the jump!)
Now moving further to Allure who is capitalizing on January Jones for the June 2011 cover. She’s a gorgeous young woman, undoubtedly appealing, especially for the Mad Men fans. But where’s her lovely baby bump? Taking the pictures way in advance for a magazine issue can cause authenticity issues. At least for me. And as bugging and unstylish as it can be, sometimes, I’d rather go for tabloid – like magazines. At least their pictures are new? How about you? Ever felt strangely ambivalent about this? I luv luv luv Mad Men – but January Jones just doesn’t translate into print very well.
She is beautiful & all that but her fashion choices and editorals just miss the mark. But it is great to see other actress’ besides the same tired old rotation of typical actresses on magazine covers.

Kate hudson is beyond boring – so last decade! Couldn’t be graceful & classy & let Ginnifer Goodwin have her moment? Her characterisation in “He is just not into you” movie was hilarious – I think because I have seen my friends (& maybe me for a nano second only) act like that at some time.
Yes Mad Men is stellar – It amazes me how things have changed but somehow stayed the same in a way? Totally looking forward to season 5.

Kate was nice and I loved her in Almost Famous but that was all. Don’t get it what Matt Bellamy sees in her. (Yes, sounds like a lovesick teenager = a Muse fan!)

So I am now in measure to say that the Good Wife ending was a baseless rumor. The series will enter its third season come this fall. The same cannot be said about my favorite, Lie to Me, which was cancelled by Fox… so it’s just a matter of time until they get to The Good Wife too! (TV networks have the nasty habit of cancelling brilliant series!)
So tell me – is it true, then? Muse is the new Queen? (I like their rhapsodic ways, but I wasn’t sure they would last that long). As for her mom, she was a true rom com queen!
