The Asian Market will most definitely save this world’s luxury industry. While I was talking earlier about Givenchy’s full Asian models display from the Paris Couture week, this brilliant marketing move came to me. As suggested earlier by our dear friend, Ellington, there goes Godfrey Gao for the Louis Vuitton Men Spring Summer 2011 ad campaign.
There’s something notable about this – the Canadian – born actor Godfrey Gao is the first Asian model to represent the Louis Vuitton Menswear label and, with it, Marc Jacobs’ obvious Asian – inspiration.
Photographer: Cedric Buchet. (no word on the second male model who appears in the ad campaign – you can see him right after the jump). Also – should we cross our fingers and hope for real diversity in the LV ads? Or it’s just for financial purposes only? (via)

Perfection! The teenager within would pin this image on my notice board (in between Ian Somerhalder & Shemar Moore!) XOXO
He is rather lovely to gaze at! : )
For me this makes me glad that a) I am a girl and b) this is a wonderful step towards diversity!
Gorgeous and sexy comes in all shades! :)
This is the kind of modelling / image that is missing from women’s magazines. We get the angry, over sexualized stick insect girl instead of pure unapologetic beauty in the form of a grown up.
keiko, I love your comments!! True words spoken :)
Me again I had to take a peak on him: really this is such a handsome guy….*swoons*….;)
