I know celebs make the cover of a magazine with a particular idea in mind: promotion material. Everything they do is carefully planned, scheduled to meet their artistic projects. And so is Rihanna. Her February 2010 cover of W Magazine comes to support her new album/tour. So where’s the surprise?
The photos look lifeless and, dare I say, boring, everything screams photo call and nothing more, no fashion, no artsyness, nothing. Just Rihanna at her usual provocative self wearing this and that and looking all the same! (if you want to see more to convince yourself, or by all means, change your mind, click through to see more images! Click here to see the gallery!)
Of course, with such an impressive display of clothing, her W Magazine pictures still maintain a high standard. Too bad they don’t talk, don’t say much. Quiet Rihanna photography, exposing her many tattoos, that my take on W’s February cover story (with sad tears on having to use photoshop for a 21-year old). What’s yours?

Boooooooring……:P
Rhianna looks lovely, she usually does, but these photos look like album cover out takes. Not very inspiring, but I do like the white dress she is wearing on the cover and glad to see her this time not topless on the cover of a magazine.
Totally ugly. If this is fashion – that is tragic?
Rihanna doesn’t look lovely. She looks like a hooker on that cover. As a lot of performers does. Why is fashion inspired by sex all the time of late? She IS topless Ellington not on the front though.
I had a bit of nasty taste in my mouth last night. While watching my fave late Friday Freak Night on TV quitted earlier because the Haiti Charity live show was broadcast until my surprise. And guess what? Everybody was dressed until the neck! No one was pantless…..well, if you do it come as you are at least! I almost couldn’t watch her and Beyoncé? I never watch that woman again! She got $2.000.000,– for a private performance at the birthday party of Gaddafi’s son…..right, that’s poor Lebanon were people suffer.
I was proud on us Dutch the way we did it. Far more normal and enthusiastic happy with the great results.
Oh, the more help the better, don’t get me wrong, I’m sucker for good causes but something there made me not feel so well…..:(
We shouldn’t need charity shows at all. Support a good cause if you can ALL the time. The Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders for instance need our help all the time. They are always the first who are on the spot where needed and the last who leave. That’s why I support them always as long as I can afford it and every cent helps a bit. These unfortunate people are waiting now long enough and not only there…..I watched the news…..
nay…
