This is the pictorial Kate Moss was born to do! Kate and the Gypsies is an amazing, glove suiting photo shoot from V magazine #61!
When I saw the covers, I was pretty degonflée because Kate Moss was on one of them, looking as wasted as usual, preaching that waste-glamour fashion teaching I want nothing to do with! But behold! There goes Kate & The Gypsies! (the story continues with more pictures right after the jump!)
Not only her vintage style looks torn from these very pictures, but Kate herself belongs in that spirit wilderness and filthy freedom carried on century after century by the Gypsies. I wouldn’t want to see no city girl ride the horse in those jorts (or any shorts, not just jeans shorts). Kate stands proud and chic in that mud, it’s absolutely her! Am I wrong? (photos via)
Omg, she looks just one of them. I love the styling, the set, and her in this spread.
This shoot has been done during the Glastonbury days. I saw pictures. I bet those are festival visitors with an act like they do on Glastonbury. Gypsies are no more but in this shoot it does look this lifestyle does still exist and Kate looks great yes. That’s why preferred that V-cover recently above Linda’s. Because Kate looked so au-natural. And here’s the rest….not her greatest fan but I love this shoot. It makes me want to pack and just go and leave all behind and see were we end up…a dream….
Indeed she really looks like one of them. Maybe I’m just being evil…but what can I do
Kate blends in seamlessly, she looks good in this shoot.
Oh please, this is just a group of performers. None of them is a gypsy. So you’re not evil Tavia.
And why should that be evil? Because Kate is such a famous model? Because everyone (and their dog) seems to praise and glorify her Moss-ness? Oh, well (sigh), Kate Moss a Gypsy, now that would have been something extraordinary.
Kpriss, not everyone. An exhibition in Paris with more photos of Her Highness La Moss has been cancelled since there was no one, not even uncle Philip, who wanted to support the costs. And why is such an exhibition necessary? The whole web and magazines is a La Moss exhibition for christ sake! I would suggest to try it again when she becomes 50? Or 60? 75?
