UPDATE: Due to a special intervention from a very respected LA Law Office, many of the pictures originally shown in this article were removed. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, please understand and support our decision.
When I think of Madonna and her last ad campaign for Louis Vuitton, I can hardly believe it’s the same person in these pictures.
Looking tired, showing her true age, Madonna can be authentic too. Or at least as close as possible to authenticity. Her hooking up with Steven Klein, lately, didn’t do her a world of favor.
She’s one of the best performers ever, but it doesn’t hurt catching up with reality! Come on, Madge, there’s no shame in showing your age, is there?
On the other hand, her upcoming photo spread for W Magazine May March 2009 looks a bit of over-airbrushed.
She also introduces her new seducer self since she’s photographed holding tight and approaching for a kiss a waaaay younger man.
That’s the Madonna we know! Photoshop and intimacy! Do you miss Madonna the bourgeois? (photos via ontd)(more pictures and UPDATE added after the jump! )
UPDATE: The first rumors about the W Photo shoot were wrong; the picture appeared in the March 2009 issue of W Magazine. Madonna and Jesus Luz posed for Steven Klein in a photo-story called “Blame It On Rio” (the title appears on the cover of the W Magazine, in pink, and it’s signed xx Madonna)
Even if it raised pulses, the pictorial is convenient for Madonna whose loud divorce shadowed her media personality quite a bit. However, turning the wheel with more and more pictures of older women with younger men isn’t going to change mentalities and moralities.
I guess we’ll have to get used to seeing a celeb taking the main spot in a fashion magazine, no matter the pretext. Don’t we?

Madonna is the best at presenting herself in what ever form she wishes. No one in my mind does this better. Granted she does scary me a bit in these photos. My favourite Madonna is when she was in her ‘Ray of Light’ phase. She seemed real to me then, and it was a rather good cd.
Madoona just can’t get enough of herself, no matter what she does. she has no frame of reference, so no idea what and who she is.
she has beautiful eyes and could take some nice photos, but what she has done to her body over the last 10 yrs is not pretty, not youthful, dont know what she thinks she is achieving? her husband said it best, she looks like grissle!
Alas authenticity isn’t “allowed” anymore. Interesting faces are gone. Is it us the audience who seems not to want authenticity anymore? Is it us who does want only to see beauty fake? Or are we brainwashed by the media? Even a lot off younger big stars are not for real anymore. Most off them have something changed. I’ve viewed a site with the “before” and “afters” and was flabbergasted!
Debbie Harry declared of late that she had to do a another face-lift: for business.
Madonna’s “authentic” photo looks interesting. Its not because, despite the work done, she looks her age, she looks a bit sad. Melancholic, almost vulnerable.
I love “Ray of Light” too. I really love that album and the way she looked in these days. Maybe she was really happy back then because she had become a mother? To me that was Madonna at her best, in music and looks.
By the way, why don’t we never talk about men? I would have found the “W” cover with Brad Pitt, as an example, very interesting…….
Yes I think that we should mention men more often too!
Oh and that W cover with Brad had an article in it with him discussing his marriage ending with Jennifer and his falling in love with Angelina.
More fuel for the fire.
Oh please no more fuel on any fire! It was just an example…..not the best one I believe!
Rock On Madonna!! Love IT! These new photos are hotter than the originals in my opinion.
