Don’t you just love how fashion is slowly getting into everything? How all those fashion details, feminine by default, get insinuated into that wild men’s world like nothing happened?
I know I do! Even if I look at some of the resulted products with raised eyebrows because my snob-alarm immediately stars screaming, I can’t help but observing how more and more industries mix fashion for a more impressive final result. (more pictures right after the jump)
The Fiat 500 launches a very exclusive project for the European and Asian markets: 500 by Diesel. And no, I’m not talking about the engine type! I’m talking about Diesel for successful living, the fashion brand! Lars Schwartz, the Diesel designer and Roberto Giolito, the Fiat designer, wanted to make an Urban Survival Vehicle for the young and the brave (Diesel fan is mandatory). Denim upholstery, yellow stitching, hub-caps with the renowned Indian logo and “Only the Brave” tagline, the Diesel logo marked on the instrument panel, the side of the front seats, tiny but highly significant details for the potential buyers. The three engines available are sold for 15,000 – 17,000 euros. What would be the fashion-car of your dreams? (via)

I disagree. I don’t love it at all that fashion gets involved in so many things. I like things separated because in the end, if this does goes on like it does now, fashion will be so mediocre.
Its a stylish looking vehicle but I don’t see many men purchasing it.
I am a Mini Cooper fan.
I once bought some expensive ‘designer’ seat covers and was so disgusted as they didn’t fit my car eventhough the package said it would. What has this got to do with the Fiat/Diesel car? Nothing I guess.
Sorry kpriss but thats how much this car interests me.LOL!I’d rather spend my money a dream trip to Bora Bora.
Even the tags Only The Brave and Urban Survival made me laugh.Huh? Are they aiming at the young and brave in Monaco and Zurich?
Nevertheles the car is impressive but send me 2 plane tickets to Rio instead.LOL!
As a longtime Diesel fan, I’m ENTRANCED by this car.
