Mert and Marcus work together like wonders. “Louis Vuitton after dark” idea of a shooting gave a colorful girl about car or car about girl image.
Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott got their inspiration from where? Aerodynamics, great shapes and great cars.
The Louis Vuitton woman is extroverted, glossy, she has something. So do all the models “bigger than life” that were summoned up for the LV 2008 campaign: Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Angela Lindvall, Claudia Schiffer, Stephanie Seymour and Natalia Vodianova.
You know the girls, you know Marc Jacobs, you know the products. What about this idea of colored cars and beautiful women together? I would go for the “commercial” side of the commercial itself.
What sells? Beautiful women. What else? Ummm…cars? Ok, we’ll do a women and cars thing. What else? What colors should we use? Umm.. all of them? To be sure, just in case we forget something? Mm ok! So it’s a deal! Like pulling rabbits out of a hat, cars, women, bright colors and expensive fashion.
What do you think? It’s put together? Or can you see the money line there?
