A good deed must never go unmarked! This (and let’s face it, the love of art too) is the reason I’m writing an article about a Sothebys auction.
“Art has many definitions and many definers…who would be reckless enough to try? But the prophetic utterance is a large part of the reason why I am interested in Art. Art speaks to the future, prepares you for the future, and sometimes even invites you to the future.”
The words of Bono introducing the Sothebys Auction (red) are full of hope under the circumstances: nearly 6.000 people die today because of HIV/AIDS.

The proceeds of this auction(red) will go to the united nations foundation to support hiv/aids relief programs in Africa conducted by the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis & Malaria.

The selection I’ve made from the 83 lots is not based on anything more than my esthetical choices so I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I did when picking it up!
