Angelina and The Best Friend Symptom

Dont’ double check, you do read a page about style. And because of that, I give you today the Angelina Jolie Latest Style. I chose a title that may not give you the inside story right away, but stay with me and you’ll see just what I mean.

I’m sure plenty of you have watched Angelina over the years, intentional or just because she was allover the news. And if you think about it for just a second, you’ve seen her evolve and grown into a mature woman, you’ve seen her as a teenager, a lover, a wife, a friend, a mother.

Lately everybody stopped seeing just Angelina and switched to Brangelina. The magnetism between them was obvious (even if we agree with Brad’s relationship decision or not) in “Mr and Mrs Smith” so they brought it to life when they exposed themselves as a couple later on.

Then their first biological child came and ever since, Angelina’s on a slimming spree.

And I’m not saying having all that children on your hands doesn’t help you get your tonus back after a pregnancy, I’m just saying there’s something else to it.

Just recently, an interview of Angelina’s appeared in Grazia magazine, stating that her ever slimming figure is due to emotionally stressed 2007.

“I want people to understand who I am as a person is not somebody that’s trying to look thin, but just trying to work through a very difficult year.”

And then she continues confessing about her relationship with Brad Pitt:

“He is just a great friend and when my mother passed, he was so great,” she said. “He sat with me and held [my mother’s] hand. After she passed away he spent the night asking my brother and me about our mother and got us to tell funny stories about her. He focused on all the love and joy we were fortunate enough to have had. He was extraordinary.”

I feel like having a bad taste déjà vu. I’ve already seen this kind of statement from Katie Holmes about her beloved Tom Cruise, now I’m supposed to keep quiet and let myself fed with this lie all over again? Well, I won’t buy it! What’s wrong with these women? It’s like they don’t really have something else to say about their men except they have a deep respect for them, that they’re best friends and they’re just great persons. I bet they are! But what is that have to do with, for example, a once very expansive and explicit Angelina declaring her flame for Billy Bob Thornton and how magnificent her intimate relationship was with him? Oh, you’d say she grown up, then?! I’d say something’s fishy here. Like she stated back in 2003 when she divorced from Billy Bob:

“It took me by surprise, too, because overnight, we totally changed. I think one day we had just nothing in common. And it’s scary but… I think it can happen when you get involved and you don’t know yourself yet.”

Saving the world begins with saving yourself. And for me, Angie’s doing just the opposite – she’s saving herself trough the world.
