Hunchback Is The New Fashion Pose: Rosie Tupper In Harper’s Bazaar

How come every time I try to focus on something positive, another thing comes along, stealing the spotlight and just making me want to ‘paint it black’? It’s not for nothing I chose that song, it would appear!

I wanted to see if more images of Cate Blanchett and her Harper’s Bazaar pictorial have surfaced yet and what I found instead got my attention more than Cate did (not that there was too much of her pictorial as it was). The lovely Rosie Tupper has a ‘Simple Pleasures’ pictorial in this May 2013 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Australia, photographed by Holly Blake and styled by Tiana Wallace.

All is peaches as the chosen clothing is really tasteful and pretty. But what about that pose? One of the most difficult things I’ve had to achieve in my life so far, was to strand perfectly straight. I’ve always been slender and tall and always felt strange, towering and willowy and hunched my back 99% of the time. Which caused me a medical condition, biensur.

Now I know that fashion is only supposed to address the young, the beautiful, the restless, the shallow and the anorexic, but #thinspo is real and young ladies today take it upon themselves to pursue a models-like life regime to look fashionable and appealing. And here I was, thinking that the tummy-ache was the worse thing that could happen to a fashion pose! No, my dahlings, this spondilosys inducing pose is!

It took me some time to stand straight up in a normal way. Until a professional dancer said to me: “I bet you have regular back aching!” Alas, she was right. So yes, I agree Kpriss. :)
