The following outfit happens in Japan and though not entirely fictional, it’s completely unrelated with any real daily fashion routine we could most likely see around us.
This charming pink princess with perfectly curly hair (is that a wig? No, really, I’m jealous! I reasonably believe even Gaga would be jealous!) is what you should call a Hime Gyaru (a girl who dresses like a pricess). (the story continues right after the jump!)

I know I focused her blond curly hair above, now please switch your attention to her shoes…ahem slippers! It’s hard to believe she found nothing else to match her pink prom-ish dress so I’m compelled to conclude it’s on purpose! She’s wearing slippers for regular outside shoes! Now before you cast the style-stone, just think how marvelously comfy she must feel! Wouldn’t you? (photos via)

I love hime gyaru. Couldn’t pull it off myself, but still, so cute! I’m guessing her regular shoes were hurting her though.
.. she’s a bit scary.. ;) but I always think that only japanese people could be so original!
Ah, a Japanese knows how to shuffle around in a elegant way on these slippers right? I love the Japanese culture, I love they do their own thing. I’m very charmed by this. This look is not for me but this girl makes me smile :)
I agree, they look so style freed! So liberated and creative. I think it’s a wonderful change from the every day animal print coat stylish-wannabes! Gimme bows, gimme pink, gimme daylight concrete princesses!
Wearing slippers can be summed up in two words: com fort. ;)
Ellington, I seriously doubt this slippers are fit for “com fort” wearing them on the streets? This Japanese Princess suffers for beauty! Her very personal beauty. :)
You are right of course Adriana! I just like slippers to wear in the “com” “fort” of my home. : )
Jaja, I got that Ellington. I always love to learn to play with English words so thanks! :)
