From the iconic pair of Candie wood bottom slides from the eighties to Britney Spears isn’t a clear path. I could, of course, force a chronological relation with Britney’s early years (she’s born in 1981, the same year the Candie wood slides came to light), but where would all the Brit-fun be?

Last I checked, there wasn’t much iconic and role model left to the Britney Spears soup! Miley wasn’t available?

Britney and Candies are a good match. They always have cute shoes paired with a star who has a bit of ‘controversy’ like Jenny McCarthy. Also didn’t Britney do an ad for them before?
Is that the real Britney? how photoshopped are these pics. We all know in what condition she is lately. So it’s only a matter of time and we will see the REAL Britney again. Nothing else then a spoiled kid, just like others in the States which have some attention. I’m sick and tired of these socalled celebs, scusa but thats the true. And about the brand Candie is that a world brand, NO only in the States they are famous. Here in Europe we never heard about them. Arriverderci

Valerio (welcome back!), it’s the real (as real as photoshop gets) Britney! I think she derailed because of all the pressure she had to put up to when she was growing up. The first moment of liberty she though she had, she jumped off the wagon straight into the jungle. But she knew only her princess wagon and the Jungle was a strange, cruel territory for her…
The classic Candie’s is a comfy but great looking shoe, I’m sure it has a correspondent in any corner of the world!
