Estée Lauder Turbo Lash Mascara Vs Lancôme Ôscillation Mascara

I’m a Lancôme Mascara Girl. Sometimes I betray them for a bit of Yves Saint Laurent or Chanel. But then I get back to my ever faithful Lancôme.

However, I’m curious about this new buzz-product from Estée Lauder. A battery operated mascara? It will be launched on July 17 (at Saks) so it’s not too long before knowing how it really is. The word is that the Turbo Lash operates with a gel formula composed of olive oil, paraffin waxes, jellied water that solidifies instantly after application.

Estee Lauder Turbo Lash Mascara and Lancome Oscillation Mascara

My favorite, Lancôme, will launch Ôscillation, an equally battery operated mascara, vibrating 7,000 times per minute in order to provide the perfect long, think, perfectly curly shaped lashes.
So mascara is going battery tooth brush. What would you choose? Lancôme or Estée Lauder?

Lancôme! I’m so attached to Lancôme. I’ve now Dior waterproof mascara but its not that good as my Lancôme! The colour brown I use is not any longer available in waterproof! As a redhead with sensitive eyes I need brown waterproof mascara.
What has my beloved Lancôme done to me???

Definitely Lauder! To begin with, Lauder is the Mama and owner to many other cosmetic companies, influencing their products etc. Cosmetic companies strive to be like Lauder and even though Lancome is owned by L’Oeal, many of their products are quite similar to Estee Lauder’s. So are far as a specific product, I would trust Lauder over Lancome…hands down. :) I do love both brand though…

You make me curious! I had some eyeshadows, and powder from Estee Lauder. But the way you describe the brand makes me think it could be more than this media stir around the Lauder name..

First of all a vibrating mascara is just too weird. Do I really need batteries to get perfect lashes? But, I am curious like most people and would love to see if it actually makes a difference. It just smells hokey to me… But, if you must try, try Lancome. Lancome is known for their amazing mascara formulas and they are like the #1 department store mascara in sales. I’d choose Lancome mascara over Estee Lauder any day when it comes to mascara.

Ajent Orange, thank you for bringing back my peace of mind!

first of all let me ask you ladies, would you want to have to assemble your mascara before you use it? Not me. If you choose Lauder’s turbo lash mascara you will have to put it together after you buy it. Lancome’s comes already assembled. :)

Defenetly lancome! they are the leaders in mascara. and the Lancome mascara oscillation it so soft you cant hardly feel the vibration vs the estees wich vibrate a bit more also with the lancome you can control the vibrating with estee you cant!

Do we really need a gimmicky battery operated mascara brush? Are women getting so feeble that they can’t apply mascara without a power aid? The earth is already groaning, unable to cope with the consumables which we discard. Thanks Estee Lauder for adding more batteries to the toxic mountain which is already degrading the planet.

Good point Kerry! A very good point……

I purchased the Estee Lauder mascara and it’s completely and utterly rubbish. My cheap Max Factor works much better!

I do love Lancome mascaras, though – I’m quite tempted by their battery one; at least it has a decent brush which the Estee Lauder one definitely does not. Clump city!

Having said all that, though, the very best mascara I have ever come across is Chanel Inimitable.

I preferr Estee Lauder because I already have the Lancome one and IT BROKE AND DAMAGED my eyelashes. Please don´t buy it because it will represent a real damage to your eyelashes.

I purchased the Lancome one and it was cheap looking. I have racoon eyes at the end of the evening and I only used one coat. Not only that I didn’t see the difference in using a non-battery mascara vs. a battery mascara. Not a break through in science for mascara… sorry! I have used better and higher quality mascara.

Ok lovelies, Estee Lauder 1)Put’s the mascara together for you before you leave the counter, 2) The formula scientifically is richer, more moisturizing and stays on better than Lancome’s. You need a moisturizing mascara b/c they tend to dry out your eyelashes and make them break off. Also, if you are using any mascara without the proper eyelash primer then you cannot say a word about either mascara b/c you are using it wrong!!!!!

i’ll go with lauder…i started just putting mascara when i noticed my lower lashes looked longer and thicker. it was also on tv comparing a $350 dollars stuff to make your lashes longer vs. a $32 lauder mascara. and lancome, most of the time copies estee lauder. lauder was the first one to have that vibrating mascara but lancome copied it..
