(Glow In The Dark) Reebok Courtnee Mid By Feride Uslu
July 16th, 2009 by kpriss
Now that’s something that would set your sneakers apart in a sea of kicks! Feride Uslu, a German artist brought her vision in a new collaboration with Reebok.
The new Reebok classics Courtnee Mid Glo by Feride Uslu have a distinctive pattern that could pass as an ordinary interlocking pattern print. But there’s so much more to it! The print glows in the dark! Beautiful and completely unexpected, the new glowing sneakers will be available starting March 2010! Would it have made things more interesting if the laces had also received the same glowing in the dark treatment? (more pictures right after the jump!) (via)
Maison Michel Fall Winter 2009 2010 Lookbook By Karl Lagerfeld
July 16th, 2009 by kpriss
This should be called Art Campaign more than a lookbook, but for the sake of placing this in a classic category, let’s talk about Milliner Maison Michel’s new Fall Winter 2009 2010 collection ad campaign photographed by Karl Lagerfeld!
Yup! That’s right, the Kaiser is the new It photographer when it comes to fashion. dash art. He photographed so many famous personalities/faces for Maison Michel Fall Winter 2009 2010 lookbook, it’s almost a pleasure to just look at the images without concentrating on the amazingly beautiful head pieces! (the story continues with more images right after the jump!)

Urban Haircut
July 16th, 2009 by kpriss
Unexpected art is like the summer rain. Takes you off your routine, blessing you with a cool shower while enduring the unbearable city heat. (no exception if you’re breathing the outer-city air! Double the blessing since the summer rain unravels those heavenly nature smells!)
You may not suspect that but where I was trying to get was to show you this wonderful piece of urban art! It’s beautiful, it’s modern! And it smiles back at you! (Vinchen via Wooster Collective)
Karolina Kurkova Is Pregnant!
July 15th, 2009 by kpriss
This year is Victoria’s Secret baby boom year! If you thought there was still some catwalk hope with only Heidi Klum expecting her fourth child, get ready for this: Gisele Bunchen is pregnant (and already on a baby bump watch), Adriana Lima is pregnant (and made a splendid baby bump show off at a recent Louis Vuitton event as pictured right after the jump) and now Karolina Kurkova announced that she is pregnant (due in October).
Channing Tatum Does GQ August 2009
July 15th, 2009 by kpriss
Though it’s about a man, it’s not really a Men of Style worthy subject. Because he has yet to prove himself as a man of style. For now he’s just Channing Tatum.
(and yes, we still have Ellington to thank for that, she gave me the idea when she qualified Channing with a “GRRR” … I’m not sure it’s a good or a bad “GRRR” but I’m going ahead with the subject – after all, he makes her forget herself!) Channing Tatum is high in the spotlight right now, he sells tickets, DVDs, magazines. So he’s GQ’s cover story for August 2009, as photographed by Mario Testino. Christy Turlington’s Age Issue Vogue August 2009
July 14th, 2009 by kpriss
Last’s year Age(less) Issue was fronted by Kate Moss looking all groomed and perfectly lady-ish, so inappropriate for the real Kate Moss! But look at Vogue now! Christy Turlington covering Vogue‘s Age Issue, August 2009?
A real treat! It would have been great if it wasn’t for the mass retouching and Photoshopping-sleeking-evening. Who knows, maybe Christy really ended up looking like a 40-year-old (real) woman! (the story continues with more pictures right after the jump!)
Wrangler’s 700 Series Ad Campaign
July 14th, 2009 by kpriss
I’m not sure how recent these pictures really are, but Wrangler’s ad campaign for the 700 Series qualifies magna cum laudae for my ongoing ad quest: Where are thou, marketing?
Let the images do the talking, don’t push any conclusion and don’t rush to the point. Which should be jeans. Blue Jeans! Denim has a mean weird way to purposelessly advertise for classic jeans. You’d say they’re on the verge of reinventing the wheel! Wearing Wrangler allows you to see. That’s all, folks! (photos via)
Pixar Goes Up!
July 14th, 2009 by kpriss
The force of the Recession may be strong within the Fashion Family, but there’s no such thing in the Animation world! Pixar’s new animation movie, Up (I strongly advise you to see it!) became their second-highest grossing film despite Wall Street analysts who predicted the opposite! Which brings us to the obvious question: would an animated film about/with fashion be a complete disaster? (Cartoon Brew)
