Kate Moss Topshop Spring Summer 2010 Collection. Finally
May 20th, 2010 by kpriss
Just when I was thinking that the overpriced Kate Moss Topshop Essentials were all we had from Kate Moss Topshop this summer, behold! Today is the big day when the new Topshop Spring Summer 2010 Kate Moss Collection opens in Topshop stores worldwide.
It’s actually not as bad as it could have been, it sheer, it’s vintage-y and it’s modeled by Kate Moss herself. You’ve got maxi dresses from $310 to $160, you’ve got mini dresses from $310 to $135, tops and shorts, jeans, jumpsuits, shirts and capes. Kate Moss SS 2010 Topshop Collection is everything we’d expected and more. Aren’t you curious when she’ll drop the all-silver number she had on for last year’s Met Gala: The Model as Muse? Miranda Kerr’s GQ June 2010
May 20th, 2010 by kpriss
You would not expect Miranda Kerr jumping from lingerie Angel to Haute Couture egerie over night, wouldn’t you? Because that will most certainly not happen!
Take a look at Miranda’s GQ June 2010 and you’ll see just why she’ll keep on modeling underwear. She owns those poses and the bending leg picture is far more beautiful than Gisele’s (you’ve seen it happening in April’s Vogue. It must be an Angel thing – they’re all doing the bend-leg move). Photographed by Inez and Vinoodh, Miranda’s flawless body is perfect for a supermodel career. Let the catwalks roll! (do you really think they’ll adopt her on the Haute runways?)
Cannes Red Carpet Once Upon A Time Dress On Faith Wladyka
May 20th, 2010 by kpriss
You know me by now and you know I write about things that really get to me. So you’ll understand why this Once Upon a Time girls dress comes flying your way!
I first saw it on the Cannes 2010 Red Carpet and it was wonderfully worn by Faith Wladyka (for the Blue Valentine movie screening, alongside Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling). I searched for it and found the prettiest little thing on Etsy. It’s a silk dress, breaded with Japanese seed beads, finished with an attached tulle skirt and a matching neck bow. And if you ask me, it’s by far the most beautiful dress on the Cannes Red Carpet this year! (and yes, though I haven’t covered them all, I did see them) How can you resist? (photos via)
Burberry Exclusive For Colette
May 20th, 2010 by kpriss
Paris hype store Colette will be selling a special Burberry item starting this very June 2010. A special military parka designed by Christopher Bailey exclusively for Colette.
As an admirer of all things Burberry, I’m looking forward to seeing such casualness up close, though I’m sure the price will overcome my enthusiasm. As a special celebratory moment was organized at the very beginning of this year when Colette put on a special Burberry window. For the occasion, a Burberry Exclusive for Colette trench was available ($3060) so I’m not delusional about this, again, Burberry Exclusive for Colette creation being widely affordable. Yet, it does look good, doesn’t it? Without being a Burberry giveaway… (via)
Jennifer Aniston’s Smart Water Ad
May 20th, 2010 by kpriss
Madonna has had an entire album artwork around her workout routine, Gwyeth Paltrow an entire movie premiere wardrobe around her workout with Tracy Anderson. Now it’s time Jennifer Aniston got herself some body workout endorsements following her tough training with Tracy Anderson.
Advertising for Smart Water (I’m an ignorant, please enlighten me – what makes this particular water particularly smart? I mean I’ve seen Evian – it can make babies sing. What can Smart Water do? Abs? Pardon me, that’s Tracy Anderson. What else?) Anyways, I have to give it to Jennifer – she looks stunning, good for her! Now let’s get back to that Smart water, please? (photo via)

Kristen Stewart In Vogue June 2010
May 19th, 2010 by kpriss
Baby steps, but Kristen Stewart is really getting closer to Vogue. She’s currently featured in Vogue’s (the US edition) June 2010 issue, under the “Steal of the Month” title.
Photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, Kristen Stewart is wearing Isabel Marant and she’s holding her trusted iPod. Meanwhile the little column talks about Kristen’s future plans with her life. Which makes a world of sense in Anna’s efforts to touch young sensitivities, even the Twihard kind. (I like the shirt, I admit… I wouldn’t go as far as pairing it with an asymmetrical, draped lamé skirt, but then again, we’re not all getting ready for the Red (Twi)Carpet, right? Short jeans will do just fine with that shirt, wouldn’t they?) (photo via)

Guerlain Shalimar’s Jade Jagger Bottle Makeover
May 19th, 2010 by kpriss
You know how I imagine art projects? Especially ones with (at least) Shalimar’s magnitude? I imagine there’s a lineup of artists (more or less qualified) submitting their projects proposals, in an auction, to a special committee and then the winner is carefully, thoroughly and rigorously selected.
Some of the latest artistic collaborations going on in our world turns my vision to mere dust. Another proof sustaining that is Jade Jagger being commissioned by Guerlain to redesign Shalimar’s bottle. A 85-year-old perfume bottle, might I add! On what grounds? Aesthetic, professional and/or fame-related? Either way, the new Jagger Shalimar bottle will be out in September and it’ll feature a pedestal base with the same fan-shaped bottle. A smoky grey-blue cap and a navy leather tie on its neck. I would have understood a sari, but a leather tie? (via, photo via)

Mischa Barton’s Rosa Clara Wedding Dress
May 19th, 2010 by kpriss
A little while back, while strolling the vast alleys of the Internet, my eyes were delighted with the sight of Mischa Barton going to the gym. Not because I would be an exercise freak myself – far from it, actually – but because it meant that Mischa was on a sanity streak and I hoped the healthy style would eventually catch up with her.
Now it seems Mischa was on to something indeed – a promotional contract with Spanish bridal label Rosa Clara. Pictured here, like saying that everyone has a fair shot at happiness, is our own troubled Mischa trying a white wedding dress from the Rosa Clara Spring 2011 collection. Doesn’t she look lovely?
