Angelina Jolie’s Blue Bag: Yves Saint Laurent Chyc Cabas

You asked for it! (wink) When I wrote about Angelina Jolie not being happy with the engagement ring designed and offered to her by her partner, Brad Pitt, you said (and I couldn’t agree more) that we should put tabloid news behind us and concentrate on the bag!

Well, my dahlings, the bag in question is a blue Chyc Cabas from Yves Saint Laurent. It’s really hard to really estimate the exact measurements of Angelina’s blue bag, as the size makes all the difference in YSL Chyc Cabas series – from the large YSL Cabas Chyc which costs $2,895 to the Small YSL Cabas Chyc at $1,795, there’s plenty to choose from in both size and color (you can see more colors in the gallery, here or head down to the YSL store here). While I was jumping up and down my chair with unhidden joy for (finally) seeing a picture of Sasha Pivovarova in her pregnant state of grace, I was quickly brought to my senses by another stunning news: Sasha gave birth (somewhere between Friday and Sunday). It’s a beautiful baby girl, she tweeted Sunday, celebrating Mother’s Day as a mother! Congrats and blessings to the happy family! How cute it this? I said I’ve been running a bit late in bringing you more summer dresses amazingness, so here I am, trying to make up for that, with another dress. And if the black draped DSquared2 wonder was too much, then maybe a light spirited dress like this beige and black polka dots dress will warm your heart!

(does it?) Because it definitely warmed mine! It’s called the “Dalmatian Dress” from Oscar the Third and it really looks cute and all kinds of lovely and wearable! Wouldn’t you give it a spin? (oh, and it’s $280!)

Have you heard about Christian Louboutin launching a beauty collection? He teamed up with Batallure, an US based beauty company founded in 2006 and he will deliver us a Louboutin Beauté collection as soon as possible. Because, he said, it’s the next logical step in his evolution. I have to ask myself, though, since although globally worn and appreciated, Louboutin’s shoes are highly uncomfortable, what will his makeup be like… {wwd}

There’s been a while since my last Favorite Summer Dress, huh? It doesn’t feel like that, though – must be all that Met Gala overexposure. Getting back to (sartorial) earth. Somewhat. The little black dress. It’s so versatile and it can be worn so many ways, so many years, without anyone complaining that it’s this or that fashion season.

The little black dress, if chosen wisely and worn with style and grace, will never be “sooo yesterday”. Ever. Especially this Draped Black Dress from DSquared2! It looks so comfortable and easy to wear, easy to style (less is more with this dress), I dream of having it in my wardrobe. If it weren’t for the $740 price tag (sad face, heavy sigh)!

Have you seen the sweet cutie pie that is Charlize Theron’s baby boy? He’s really an adorable little man (but then again, all wee ones are simply irresistible) and Charlize looks just right as a mom! (In case you just read the title and your eyes went out of your eyeballs, wondering what I’m talking about: ) when I first heard that Tom Cruise was going to play a rock star, I was full of disbelief and disappointment – couldn’t they have come up with a more credible actor? I was 100% percent convinced it’ll be catastrophic.

Until I saw some scenes from the Rock of Ages movie trailer. I was blown away! Sure, it was a teaser, so it had to be spectacular. But Tom Cruise, as a rock star, looked pretty much the real deal. He has that superior attitude and that (sometimes) inexplicable energy to rock. The stage. For a movie (initially a Broadway musical, Rock of Ages, the movie, will soon be released in a cinema theater near you, according to imdb – next month I think?). So W Magazine’s June 2012 cover happened. With Tom Cruise sandwiched between two beautiful models – Edita Vilkeviciute and Abbey Lee Kershaw.
