Now going from black to white, charming Emma Watson joins the celebration of the American Woman’s Fashion at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute’s 2010 Gala wearing (what else) a Burberry dress.
Not objecting (except for the dramatic slit contrasting strangely with the upper part of her dress – making me believe this cut was originally seen in some Versace blueprint). Loving the hairdo – simple, young, I’d even go for casual. Except for the wedding white style (with a Versace touch), we can still see the positive side: she brings a ray of light on a dark Red Carpet (so far). What do you make of that slit? Burberry goes with Emma Watson for the Spring Summer 2010 season! Wait, there’s more! Emma Watson brought along her brother, Alex Watson for the Burberry ride! And even if it’s just a rumor, there’s the first image to prove it! Not as striking as her first ad-session with Burberry, what say you?

We have the final outcome of those long rumored Burberry ads starring Emma Watson for Fall Winter 2009 2010 (as the Brits put it – Burberry Autumn Winter 2009 2010).
Sweet Hermione is really grown up and takes Burberry to the next level of trendyness – the magic level! It doesn’t even bother me that she’s facing the same ol’ problem with today’s fashion representation: actresses/models, is there any difference after all? …. Kind of. Although I’m a conscious music listener and I choose my playlist components carefully (also sharing my most treasured musical finds and pleasures throughout the weeks with you), I had no knowledge about Burberry being so much into music. What? Neither did you?
Well, let’s find out more about it, then: Burberry is now under the undeniably brilliant creative reign of Christopher Bailey since 2009. From that year on, although Christopher Bailey had been with Burberry since 2001 as one of its creative directors, Burberry has been on a steady ascension. Towards the hearts and wardrobes of fashion consumers worldwide.
Aside from the beautiful clothing and accessories, Christopher Bailey also associated a playlist to the Burberry name. Burberry Acoustic. It’s a clever initiative as fashion is so much about inspiration and ever so often, music plays a decisive role in a creative process (I don’t know about you, but I know my imagination works in musical ways and I can openly admit being addicted to music). Yes, I’m fully aware of the season we’re barely entering! However, Burberry Prorsum is a classic, couldn’t look away and let this beautiful campaign slip through my fingers!
Mario Testino photographed Burberry’s Fall Winter 2011 2012 ad campaign. The young, hip faces are Molly Smith and Amber Anderson on the left and, on the right, Felicity Jones and Thomas Penfound. Burberry is again targeting the new, hip Brit generation with amazing clothes! The campaign is gorgeously styled and impeccably modeled and photographed, wouldn’t you agree? It’s the perfect snobbish attitude they want their customers to have! (via)

If we’re to believe the rumors, Robert Pattinson (yes, like in Twilight – Robert Pattinson) declined the advertorial offer made by Burberry to represent the brand as their spokesface. A celebrity refusing to endorse on their face – fame? If that’s true, and Robert Pattinson did say he wants to be recognized as an actor and not a model, it’s quite revolutionary for the fashion (and celebrity) world! What say you? Now that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has become a Hollywood item, she’s popping everywhere (besides currently being in a relationship with Jason Statham – she was announced as Megan Fox’ successor for the next Transformers movie). As stubborn as I could’ve appear, I was looking forward for another Emma Watson saison at Burberry.
Just to spare us the Huntington-Whiteley annoying pruning. Now they’re all saying this new Fall Winter 2010 2011 Burberry ad campaign is a revolutionary one (not just because on the original website you can click, rotate, pause and drag images 180 degrees, but because of the spirit within). I keep looking and all I see is young people trying to look and behave like egocentric hipsters of their generation. And more. Am I to assume that if Che would’ve been alive right now, he would have been shopping chez Burberry? (via)
Lovely Emma Watson (you knew that was coming, didn’t you?) was all prettied up for the National Movie Awards 2010 (held in London). Much to my surprise, she was again wearing something white. (remember the MET Gala 2010? Or even the National Movie Awards 2009?)
This time it wasn’t Burberry, though it may have been the logical choice. She’s wearing a white jumpsuit signed by Karl Lagerfeld from the Spring Summer 2010 collection. Embellished with sequins, the jumpsuit was pretty enough to keep her looking fresh and nice for yet another official Red Carpet mission. So she’s on to some-Chanel thing after all? (photos via 1, 2)
