I’m playing this D & G ad again and again. Let me tell you why: It seems simple, beauty is on the outside but you might have to get what’s inside to get to what’s sweet.
Beauty that’s in your mind. That’s the one. Dolce and Gabbana L’eau The One. I may be missing the entire plot here. Let me get some set – help: Scarlett Johansson all alone, rolling and eventually peeling an orange in an empty kitchen, she’s all dressed up with a lbd and black heels. Sweet chignon. Blond hair. Since when selling a perfume has become a matter of being a Ph.D, Doctor in Philosophy (or at least a Psychology Major)?

It has always been that way Kpriss with adverts, except this one is not being subtle about it.
Watch Madmen sometime and you will see exactly that when Don and the gang are discussing and dissecting an ad campaign. Ads are about selling a lifestyle, desire(s) and a philosophy and entice us to want it and “need” it to “better” and “complete” our lives. ;)
Scarlet looks nice in this ad.
I usually like mysterious clips….make you think of possibilities :) Btw…I love Scarlett so…
i like the mysterious quality of the kitchen….
could they be inciting us to be sexy in the kitchen?
by wearing D&G……
I don’t get the orange thing… but then again, i really don’t like Scarlett and i find that her voice in the narration is trying too hard to be seductive and sexy, it just seems unnatural!
Haha, I’ve never matched Dolce & Gabbana with intellect!! LOL!
I’m gonna take that MadMen invitation and stuck it on my priorities on a pole position! (after all, I’m still waiting for Lost, I’d better fill in the gap before we become the last people on the planet who haven’t watched Madmen! ;) )
So maybe you’re right, I was expecting something.. higher from this campaign. I shouldn’t expect so much from Scarlett. She’s just a more silent Megan Fox. only in blond.
These young women aren’t successful because of how well they did in school or how articulate they are. Quite what WERE you ‘expecting’ from Scarlett Johannsen?
