How was your weekend? I hope it was as amazing as it should have been, you deserve every bit of amazing-ness flying your way! There’s a new week ahead, I’ll be with you, style-guiding you every step of your great week-way!
Remember I told you something about Snatch, Friday? That really brought back memories! Memories of Guy Ritchie and his movies. Have you seen RocknRolla? Well, here’s I’m A Man from Black Strobe to help you kick this Monday with a high voltage! (more info right after the jump!)
Continuously inspired by bands such as Depeche Mode and Cabaret Voltaire, permanently inspiring others such as Royksopp and Rammstein, Black Strobe is a French group evolving in the key of electroclash.
However, I’m A Man strikes some serious chords for me. Rock and electro plus the Ritchie attitude. Have you seen the movie? RocknRolla? Yes, I know I asked you earlier – and still – people/critics thought he was diluted and though the second film of the initially planned RocknRolla trilogy is already written, it hasn’t got the studio green light. I miss that kind of movies. I loved Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, I did the same with Snatch. I wasn’t as impressed as I should have by Sherlock, Ritchie’s latest achievement, but I guess the box office thought differently and so did the critics because the second Sherlock is already signed, sealed and approved! Oh, well. At least we’ve got this song, to get us through this day, huh?

Good morning beautiful! I’m gonna listen to you choice first……;)
WOWSA! And here we go again. :D
The European music scene is so great and divers and I really love you girl for posting this. :) :*
I’m a great Rammstein fan by the way….oops…..which you may not be surprise you? I think Rammstein is a bit too much for the US. Rammstein was earlier on the scene than Black Strobe.
Yeah, what happened to Guy Ritchie and his rockin’ ways?
Speaking about directors. We have in summer on public tv a programme that’s 3 hours long and one guest who shows snips of all that influenced them and still does. This time it was Paul Verhoeven. I love that man. His Dutch films of course. And I can listen to his views forever. He showed a snip of Rammstein performing in France. At last the German hate is gone. Rammstein, original from the DDR, made the thousands of French, yes French, sing along in German with Völkerball and this man in early 70’s is a great fan and told us that this proves that Europe, at least a part of Europe, is at last reunited. That dirty past is history. :)
I love you open minded Kpriss for posting this great French band. I had a nice weekend and you’ve made my Monday!
Oops, this was not a test in English writing this is about passion. ;)
