I’m generally one who likes to keep a positive attitude and memory about everything and anything. Thus, the Selfridges window which honored in no moral way the big talent that was Alexander McQueen could have ruined the way I looked at Selfridges windows from that day on.
We can’t allow that, can we? We’re fashion loving people, we love beauty and everything stylishly organized. So let’s take another look at the fashionable windows from Selfridges signed by British designer Kyle Bean. (more images right after the jump! Click here for the gallery!)
Kyle Bean’s work chez Selfridges was based upon the theory of transformation (“Matter cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed”, the law of conservation of mass). Now we may or may not agree, the aesthetic truth in this case beats our personal beliefs. Kyle did a wonderful job with those installations (books turned into castles, pieces turned into motorcycle and so on). It’s art-spectacular, in a consumerist kind of way, isn’t it? (via)
