Just as our friend, Ellington, promised, it’s time to save some money for the Armani TV set: Philips designs dresses!
Not your average kind of dress, the Skin dress is part of a project that experiments with emotional fabric. Philips calls this a shift to sensitive technologies. The only hitch is that the sensitive dress is a perfect giveaway. Just think you’re in the middle of a corporate meeting and some of the participants simply left their brains at home in the freezer. Wouldn’t your dress just turn bright red like a traffic light? (click thumbnails to enlarge)

BLAST!!!! Now I will have to pony up the money for that Armarni tv!
Well all I can say it better not be out of style in the next six months or I am going to go postal! : )
Oh and the dress is nifty (Tis rather ethereal is it not? It looks like a Cirque de Soleil costume.) but can one wear it in the rain with fear of impending electrocution or do you have to wear rubber soled shoes with it to remain grounded? ; )
Good grief would the old Gerard Philips the founder of the Philips factory in the then ‘city of lights’ Eindhoven (the Netherlands) ever could have imagine that his lamp would ever become a fashion or art item?
It looks more like art or for the theatre to me than to be wear for real. Though maybe its great to wear for the paddock girls at the first Grand Prix at night in Singapore on September 28 where Philips will lighten up the whole event? I cannot wait to see that race….
Ellington, yes there you go girl: start saving lol! Be careful with what you say…
