Since we’re approaching the new year, resolutions are in order. Today we’re in shoes resolutions: therefore we made a 5 positions top with the boots we would never wear.
On the 5th place, Dior presents us this fur-trim ankle boot and invites us to buy it for $1.150. Now, if we were completely fashionblind, maybe, just maybe, he’d had a shot. But let’s take a closer look: black macramé with tonal solid underlay and! tonal dyed rabbit fur and suede trim? That’s just ugly! Two times ugly – first time because of the materials used to create this ankle boot and second time for the result itself.
The 4th place is taken by Dsquared2. We like a lot of their creations, but this fierce zip and tuck knee high boots is faaar from what we could ever appreciate. Not only the price measures their ugliness ($1.848) but the extreme bad taste of the coyote fur trim and the thigh-high harness make the sight of these Dsquared2 boots a hard one to bear.
Further on, at the 3nd spot, we find the Christian Lacroix Motorcycle-Style Boots. We love motorcycles but this boots make us hate them. The embellished gator is detachable but still that doesn’t convince us. These $1.543 multi-colored iridescent leather shoes definitely won their place in top 5 boots we’ll never wear.
The 2nd place is occupied by Christian Louboutin (that we usually love) with this Donjon Studded Boots that seem to have an edge we can’t really taste. For $2.487 you get black over-the-knee flat boots with gold studs. At least for that price, they’ve could have had real gold studs. It would have been reason enough to buy (for some)
The 1st place was very easy to choose. If one’s business doesn’t work, one’s trying new ways to seduce the market. The problem is we cannot see how shoes can represent an interesting market for Victoria’s Secret, especially since they’ve done quite well on the underwear segment. So this surprisingly ugly pair of knee-high boots from Victoria’s Secret kinda raise eyebrows. At least they only cost $129.
