Lady Gaga Vs Marylin Manson

While I was doing my daily rounds on the Internet, looking for something lovely and interesting to share I was struck by lightning! Could be that our very own Pantlessness Extraordinaire Lady Gaga be a Marilyn Manson fan?

The long lost rock renegade’s look is almost 100% Gaga’s look avec pants. What is going on and how haven’t I picked on that one before? Why hasn’t anyone? (click through to convince yourself that they’d made a lovely couple!) (photos via 1, 2, photochopping courtesy Stylefrizz)

Marilyn Manson. I’m a die hard rock fan but I hate his music with a passion. Gaga Manson, ugh.. and now the music industry has present us Ke$sha, at least her name is clear what it’s all about….tik tok, tik tok, can the brainwash stop please…..I go back underground where it’s really interesting.
I see scary people…..

lol! Talking about the underground : here’s my latest discovery (it’s not hard rock, it’s not even rock! but if you’re in the mood for something peaceful, melodic music to dance on, you can try it!) : Forro in the Dark. let me know how it feels!

No, no, I’m not limited interest in rock only lol! What a great sound this is so much more happy and interesting than ca$h music. Though Cash, The Man in Black is a hero to me.

This feels very good. Up to song three….also good…..

Thank you! :*

I knew it, that’s why I passed it on to you, hoping you’ll appreciate them as much as I did! :*

I’ve yet sent the link around. There’s a kind of “hunger” for great non-ca$h music. I believe the way the current ca$h music reigns open doors back to the basics and interesting ways of cooperation genres and explore music in a smaller circuit to enjoy as back in the 80’s and decades earlier. :)

MM is fantastic music. A lot of it reminds me of David Bowie’s glam rock sound. It sounds best when it is really loud – trust me. It’s ridiculous trying to form an opinion on it if you only hear it on the radio.

Whaaaa? MM reminds you of David Bowie? Get the earplugs out of your ears and look good at their photos and David’s attitude back then. I know what the best volume is for rock music, trust me or ask my neighbours! :D
I’ve seen MM live just out of curiosity. He has been often in Amsterdam as a visitor and sans make-up. So I know what I’m talking about.

It’s great when good music gets recognition! Well done, Adriana!

cc I wouldn’t go as far as David Bowie, but I used to enjoy Marilyn Manson’s music back in the late 90s. Somewhere around his Dita von Teese period he diluted himself and his music. I think he doesn’t have any more enfant terrible aces down his sleeve to shock us with…

I agree with you both, though, rock equals pump up the volume or nada.

LOL, right pump of the volume or nada. :D

it’s people like you who have led producers to butcher music with the loudness war.

People like me pump up the volume a limited time a day in agreement with my neighbours. For the rest, at night as an example, people like me use headphones if I like volume!

I think Marilyn Manson is an intellegent man just because he wears that make-up doesn’t not mean he suits that trashy woman gaga, he does what he does because he believes in it, i wish more people were actually like him, he is not scared of fighting for his own beliefs.

The music on Manson’s ‘Mechanical Animals’ album is very glam rock and his stylings at the time with colourful makeup and sequins were more Bowie than goth – (which his previous albums were). Since ‘Mechanical Animals’, a lot of his music has remained very similar – a driving, pulsing glam rock rhythm. When this album came out, Manson spoke of Bowie a lot and the music press commented on it as well. I was a huge fan at the time so I remember it clearly! :)

One can easily see the love for Bowie that Gaga and Marilyn M share – from their hair and makeup alone!

I’m a huge Bowie fan and see what they both stole from Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust alter ego. Gaga and Manson are music wise both stealers anyway. I rather here Metallica’s pure sound than Manson’s noise.

Speaking of Bowie and off-topic: I just heard one of the most awful covers ever! Mrs Sarkozy aka Carla Bruni killed Bowie’s “Absolute Beginners”. She can’t sing…..sil vous plait Carla: stick to whisper/sing French songs or something….argh….
I need some fresh air, gonna take a walk in the late Autumn afternoon sun, so lovely. :)
