If control pants are not really your favorite garments (which we couldn’t agree more, however, there are times when a cleverly installed pair of control pants saves one’s life. Ahem dress), maybe you should consider the Lisse Leggings.

Kinda like a baby to control pants and leggings, the Lisse Leggings actually function like a long, lean pair of spanx. Available in ankle, bootcut and high waist (grey and black), the Beth Gold-Cohen (former buyer for Macy’s) created slimming leggings will cost you $85/pair. However, before saying anything, take a look at these before/after images. Despite of my mild aversion for leggings, I have to say these ones do a pretty interesting job, don’t they?

Update: The year is 2014. Should you look for Lisse Leggings as we made their aquaintace in 2010, you won’t find them. Because now they’re called Lysse (pronounced Li-SAY) Leggings and they’re really much bigger than we would’ve suspected they’ll become 4 years ago!

They actually trademarked their own technology into a 3S™ technology which is supposed to Slim, Smoothen and Shape. I can only give you what they say as I never tried them myself and cannot atest to their level of truthfulness. However, I was really surprised to discover that not only they offer the classic leggings silhouette but also a wide-leg leggings model that contradicts everything leggings mean to me. As a concept.

As a product, I’m certain that Lysse Leggings have a wide appeal to their potential clients and since they broadened their range of products, people are definitely interested to wear their silhouette-control technology for more than just the classic glove-like item we’re used to imagine when we say ‘leggings’.
