You know (and even if you didn’t, now’s the time to read all about it): there’s a new beauty pageant in town! The most stylish blogger competition means five weeks of stress and style for the participant bloggers.
They have to style a different clothing item each of the five weeks (the finalists will be featured on StyleList and Bluefly, for the public to vote the winner). The big prize? $1,000 worth of Bluefly shopping. Why the long introduction? Because the prize could go to Tavi. As shown in the latest issue of Pop magazine, Tavi, the Style Rookie, gets all the attention! And more! (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures!)

It’s a moody, sad spring for 2010 as predicted by the Pantone Spring Summer 2010 colors and trends forecast! Just look at their Fashion Color Report drawings and you’ll see just what I mean!
I wonder if Agyness had a chance to see the report, it’s really her there! She’s the girl they drew for Spring Summer 2010! Wearing a purple-ish printed mini dress, draped on the side, with a very visible waist line, Aggy! (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)

Before October magazine issues start making their way out, let me show you a little charming piece of pictorial for Harper’s Bazaar September 2009: Arlenis Sosa and Chanel Iman sweet interpretation of All That Jazz.
Besides that beautiful 40s fashion and lady like styling and makeup, I love a story telling pictorial. Something that goes beyond the regular pouting and frowning and fashionably angry looks. Plus the black and white photos bring sexy back on track! (the story continues with more images right after the jump!)

Katie Grand’s Love issue Two is set to change our minds about some things we weren’t quite ready to challenge. Or praise.
But that’s Love, inexplicable, out of the blue, beyond reason and logic. Because how else am I supposed to interpret an alternative culture/fashion magazine preaching Love for Miley? Yup, that stands for Miley Cyrus! (the story continues with more pictures right after the jump!)

You don’t keep Lady Gaga for an inside story only! What happened over at V Magazine and how they chose Cameron Diaz for the cover of their July/August 2009 Beauty Issue is still a mystery to me.
Bringing the essence of her Gagaattitude, her Pantlesness manages to highlight some weird fashion made to measure her Gaga The Fierce self. (more pictures and video right after the jump!)

I’m really having a hard time understanding (let alone getting along with) the fetish-like-fashion from this W Magazine July 2009! I’m an optimist, incurable and my face looks cut out to smile so I can’t appreciate this kind of moody, semi-dark pictorials (starring Bruce Willis).
Taking tattoos/piercings/fetish at such a next-art-level is somewhat dangerous if fallen into the wrong/young hands and/or not explained properly. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures)

The designer is usually one step behind the model when presenting his/her creations. This time is different. CFDA’s Diane von Furstenberg decided to make things differently this year: instead of having models posing in designer creations, we now have designers showing their own work.
Jason Wu’s blue plated flowy dress worn under a suit vest looks strange. But not impossibly to digest. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures!)

Last night it was all about the Model as Muse. Embodying Fashion but the trick is that even if some played the sure value with Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Versace and so on, there weren’t many pointing in the good fashion direction.
Of course, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala started on a firm wrong foot in 2009: Azzedine Alaia’s dissing was a heavy coup on Fashion. But there’s much to learn about the Alaia affair that we may not ever be aware of. The truth (as seen from an outside, shallow point of view) is that Alaia’s creations should have been part of the exhibition and Naomi, Linda and Stephanie Seymour should have participated to the opening gala (they pulled out because of the Alaia incident). Saddened, I leave this regrettable mistake behind and get to the point. The Model point. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures!)
