How could Mr Louboutin, I wondered, take on the challenge of designing Cinderella’s shoes when he started in this business by making shoes for cabaret dancers? One of my dearest childhood princesses, Cinderella, was going to wear the very epitome of shoes luxury, red soled Christian Louboutin shoes. I was, I admit, pretty deceived.

I am, you see, one of those who think that paying obscene amounts of money for a pair of shoes is not a priority. There’s a little rumor flying around for a while now. And with the official announcement of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis splitting up, things gotten even worse: evidence is brought forward, information about secret meetings between Johnny and Amber who seem to enjoy spending time together.

More recently, even, Amber Heard split with her girlfriend of four years; naturally, all those who were whispering and mumbling became vehement about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard coupling up (Johnny and Amber were a couple on screen in the movie The Rum Diary). You know me, I usually try to keep my head above the water, but there’s really no smoke without fire and Johnny Depp could just possess that rare ability to turn a lesbian into a straight woman. His woman. What say you?

Ah, you gotta love tabloids! If she’s not fighting over Brad Pitt with Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie still has some belligerent issues left! Now not only Angelina doesn’t wear the said diamond ring, but inTouch reports from insiders source that she hates the ginormous bling!

And that she wanted an emerald instead. And that Brad really knows nothing of her!

umm.. I propose that, for the next tabloid cover, Angelina dramatically throws the ring on the Red Carpet at a movie premiere somewhere, and that, Jennifer Aniston, who was casually passing by, picks it up and goes on to marry whoever she wants with another ring designed by Brad Pitt!

Wouldn’t that be a regular soap opera?

A couple of days ago, we were talking about Prada designing for the Italian Olympic Sailing Team. If that was mostly because of Prada’s CEO (Miuccia’s husband, Patrizio Bertelli) passion for sailing, I’m really curious where this unusual collaboration with Final Fantasy (the famous RPG game) came from!

In short: Prada designed the costumes for Final Fantasy’s 25th Anniversary’s characters. To bring even more attention on the FF fashion matter, the game characters lined up for a pictorial in Arena Homme+ with clothes from Prada’s Spring Summer 2012 men collection (there’s an entire press release on that matter here). Call me conservative, but this editorial is as creepy as possible! I have nothing against couture gaming, but CGI fashion pictorials work against my style. Completely. But maybe that’s just me. How do you feel about CGI (computer generated imagery) pictorials in fashion magazines? (if Final Fantasy is what you’re looking for, you can buy your copy here)

Being a person who is usually light on jewelry, I was particularly interested in Christina Aguilera‘s sparkling moment for Latina Magazine. Both on the cover and in the inside pictorial, Christina displays a heavy amount of bling (that and the fact that she’s wearing Alexander McQueen on the cover – sadly, we can’t see much of the dress, the styling people only had eyes for the bling – I wonder what was the point in dressing her in McQueen anyway).

Since the rings come from Loree Rodkin, Pamela Love and Roseark, is it safe to declare that Christina’s collaboration with Stephan Webster is over and out? (oh, and just in case you were wondering – the photos were taken by Alix Malka and the earrings come from Lanvin)

How about that, huh? $400,000 for a T-shirt? I’m sure it’s simply wonderful for some people, to mark the debut of a new week with a new, sparkling acquisition! However, paying 400,000 for a cotton tee? And you want to know how those who produced it explained the entire price charade? “Born Rich” used 100% organic cotton and the process of making this tee was entirely renewable energy fueled. Oh, and there are 9 carats worth of diamonds (16 stones sewn in). Just another bling thing. The Organic kind! Ha!
