She needed a makeover, right? With all the scandal going on right now, Kristen Stewart’s stylist considered she had to go through some kind of style transformation. I’m just bringing the facts, you do the math of her new style!

Kristen Stewart was facing the crowd at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival for the premiere of The Road movie, for the first time since the affair was exposed in the media. For the occasion, she was wearing a Zuhair Murad floral black see through dress from the designer’s Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection. She opted for classic Jimmy Choo black pumps as noted by JJ and a new hairdo. How does this new look makes you feel?

As I already confessed, my (fashion) appreciation for Kate Moss grew considerably in the past months. Her fashion longevity, her discretion, her way of being fashion consistent and her loyalty for her own style got me thinking there must be more to her than just another model out there.

I’m clearly not the only one thinking that way and certainly won’t be the last! Free People’s September 2012 lookbook, as photographed by Guy Aroch, is like an entire tribute to Kate Moss! So you might of heard it by now, given that it keeps making the rounds of the fash – interwebs for a couple of days. But how do you really feel about it? John Galliano’s Legion of Honor Chevalier accolades were withdrew by the French president, Francois Hollande since the designer was found guilty of racism and anti – Semitism (you do remember the scandal). Should Galliano just lay low and forget about comingbacks? Ever? {Vogue}

As W magazine seems to follow the same pattern of soon – to – be – released movies main characters to double as their cover stories, I’m left amazed and really charmed by Penelope Cruz beautiful, freckled photo on the cover of W September 2012.

Mert and Marcus, who were really busy this year with all the important September covers (Gaga’s US Vogue, Kate, Daria and Lara for Vogue Paris) did an outstanding job with Penelope. The styling, carried on excellently by Edward Enninful compliments the interview / cover story about the on – screen brilliance of Penelope. Her soon to be released (on the big screen) movie, Twice Born, sounds like a heavy weight drama. But her latest movie, To Rome With Love, is a classic Woody Allen and I honestly can’t wait to see it!

We discussed the British Fashion moment from the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony, how about the Spice Girls reunion moment? My main focus, I admit, was on Victoria Beckham. And she did well. (wink) I was honestly expecting for her to wear her own design. But she didn’t! She was wearing a black, strapless dress from Giles Deacon’s Giles Fall 2012 collection. With shorter skirt (front). She was clearly the most fashionable of all Spices. Wasn’t she? {Vogue, Style}

The Supermodels who walked the Olympic Stadium catwalk for the Closing Ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics received so many hateful remarks, it’s hard to understand what’s the world’s take on fashion!

In short: some of the world’s most acclaimed supermodels come from the United Kingdom. As such, for the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony, the GB has put together an impressive show (and I thought the Opening Ceremony was breathtaking!) where they invited so many great musicians hailing from the UK! They made it all so modern, so young! I really loved their approach both of the opening and the closing show!

British fashion plays an impressive part in the global fashion industry and it was really nice to see some real fashion, not the leotard kind at the Olympics! So: great British designers were given a super model for a muse, one that’ll be wearing a representative design from their collections at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony! You know, against all controversy (or maybe precisely because of all that’s surrounding the new Batman movie), this is one of the flicks you’ll want to see this year.

Firstly because it’s director Christopher Nolan’s last installment of the Batman trilogy and well… I could add more but going around the Aurora tragedy is really difficult. Even today I heard that someone was caught with weapons in his / her possession at a Batman screening. There’s something about this trilogy, I can tell that much!

But let’s keep it about fashion, shall we? Bane! (have you seen the latest Batman? “The Dark Knight Rises”? because the last thing I want, is to spoil the fun for you!) Have you seen what Bane is wearing in this Batman movie? Or Catwoman, for that matter?

It is now a widely known fact that Photoshop is allover the place – fashion advertising, magazines editorials. Everywhere where staged photography is involved, so is computer – distorted reality. So what are the most altered features in fashion photography?

•  1. the waist: slimming a model’s waist is a must in fashion photography as, although the beauty standards have changed throughout the years, nobody wants to see a waist – less model. Because we all secretly love corsets…

•  2. the bones: hiding prominent bones because they hint at malnutrition. In some people’s eyes, one cannot show pointy bones unless they have an eating disorder. Models, being so overly thin and always pressured to be thin, are prone to anorexia and more eating disorders. Because we all secretly love the Elastic Girl…
